FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a bit aimless in my 20's, just wanted a bit of adventure and travel, wine and women, music and love. When my father died, unexpectedly, it sort of shocked me out of my blissful free youth. I had to grow up fast. It was actually my family who pointed me in the direction of multimedia as a profession and that because they saw my proclivity to write, draw, photograph things, and play music. I had been playing with art on early computers even as a child, as my mother taught computers for the board of ed in the culturally devoid wasteland of a suburb where we lived at the time. My first computer, the first one i actually owned myself was a "286" and i used it to draw with airbrush tool and on the strength of those drawings, printed out on an old school "dot matrix" printer, got me into the Apple Design & Modelling Centre, at that time affiliated with the University of Toronto. Was an excellent course with the best teachers and that got me started on this path. Following that i took a two year multimedia course at Seneca College where i received high honours both years and was on the "dean's honor list". note: I use mainly Apple computers now and have for years; best for design work and overall the interface is so much cleaner and more pleasant to use.

- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check the work and if you like what you see pay the artist's asking price; Your logo, for example, is so important; a symbolic graphic representation of who you are, what you do and what you are all about. It has to tell your story at a glance. When done right quite a lot of thought, insight, and inspiration have to come together. Make a good investment and get one you will be happy with for life.
