Dog training type
Cindy is very knowledgeable about dogs and training. She taught us a lot about what we need to do, helped us take them for a walk without them yanking us along, and ended up staying an hour past expected. Super personable and we'll be seeing her next week!Oct 4, 2018VerifiedOne On One Dog Training's reply
Thank you for the wonderful review.
Cindy knows so much! She was so helpful; my puppy is so much more obedient even just after the first session. I will definitely continue to ask Cindy for help with all of my dog training needs.Aug 3, 2017Verified
Cindy was amazing! On our first visit, we learned how to improve everything from the crate we have our dog sleep in, to the food we feed our dog. We learned some basics of dog training, and have seen vast improvements already in his behavior. Cindy is easy to talk to, and non judgmental. She obviously loves animals very much, and wants only the best for you and your pet. We are beyond happy with our experience with Cindy!Oct 2, 2017Verified
Great ideas and good work. My dog at 4.5 months sits before approaching strangers and waits for sn invite and is nearly trained in other areas.Jun 17, 2017Verified
Common sense trainer! Trained me as much as the dog! She knows what she is doing. After one lesson my dog who once pulled on the leash, pulls no more!Oct 27, 2016Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge $40.00 an hour for Port Orchard and the sessions are 1 hour long and no more than 1 lesson per week. If I have to travel somewhere beyond Port Orchard then I charge $40.00+ an hour depending on where I have to travel to. I prefer not to travel off the Kitsap Peninsula because it just isn't cost effective due to the cost of the ferry ride round trip or for me to drive around.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The first lesson I usually teach is called "Pack Mentality". This can take anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on how many questions my customers have. I also prefer anyone who is going to be with the dog(s) on a regular basis to be at this class even if they can't be at any of the others. This class is, to me anyway, the most important class for the humans because I teach how dogs think and learn and how it is different from the way humans think and learn. This is the foundation of my teaching philosophy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I read books and watch videos to learn different techniques because I don't know everything and I know there is more than one way to train dogs because like people they are each different, therefor they each learn a little differently.
