FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had been doing this kind of work for employers for a number of years and in some cases I was doing freelance work on the side while I was working for other people. In 2010 I was given the dreaded "pink slip," and had to find a new path to follow. I was encouraged by friends and associates to go into business by myself, and after a lot of consideration, I did. I'm actually glad at this point I was shown the door. I love what I'm doing and would never go back for all the money in the world.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
With the internet being so popular, I get a lot of requests about designing websites, graphics and logos for websites and I get a lot of people asking me to write search engine optimized blog posts for them. All of these I can provide of course.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It's always a good idea to have a business plan or marketing plan developed ahead of time. It doesn't have to be long (but if it is very detailed that's good). If there is no plan already developed, we can help with that too. Regardless, there should be some clear idea of who the customer is trying to reach, i.e., some demographic information about their target audience. It's not necessary for the customer to know how to reach that audience or customer group; we can help with that part!
