Emerald City catered our 20th anniversary party for 200 guests in Gas Works Park, Seattle. They were fantastic. They were flexible, super easy to work with, their food was delicious and beautifully presented, they provided even more than they had promised, they were excellent communicators and provided a turnkey operation from start to finish. I loved working with them, will definitely use them for our next event, and heartily recommend them.
This was for my granddaughters Sweet 16 Birthday Party. We had about 30 guests and we rented a hall. I needed someone to help setup the tables prepare the food and make sure food and drinks didn't run out. I had never thrown a large party like this before and didn't really know what to expect. Jessica came in and asked me some questions as to what I wanted and then took over. She was very professional and very quick. The food and drinks were prepared and displayed perfectly in a buffet style. She even assisted with the birthday cake letting the birthday girl cut the 1st piece and served to the other guests. She also cleaned everything and had the left over food packeged up. I am so glad I hired Jessica and so thankful to her for everything she did. The party wouldn't have been as great if it weren't for her and I certainly wouldn't have been able to relax and enjoy the festivities.
I would without a doubt hire Thyme Well Spent Catering in the future, as well as recommend her services to others. In the planning of my wedding celebration, I had a lot of questions about the caterer part of the party. Chantel was extremely pleasant to deal with, always answering every question proposed and assisting to select a menu that would be perfect for our guests. At the wedding reception itself, she showed up well before the party began to place the final preparations on the food and decorate the caterer table in accordance with our selected colors. The food was wonderful and guests quite enjoyed the meal. Chantel went above and beyond helping in other areas to facilitate the party, to include cutting the cakes for guests. I was quite pleased with her services that evening, as she helped to make the party run smoothly and memorable for all in attendance!
We had a party with 22 people in downtown Seattle. Francisco was very responsive to the type of food we wanted and our budget. He was there at the right time, set everything up so that it looked beautiful, and was very nice to work with. The food was delicious and we got lots of compliments from guests during and after the party. I highly recommend going with K&F.
We hosted a dinner party for 10 at our home. Nola and her assistant Flo prepared an amazing meal, from appetizers through dessert. Nola was so easy to work with through the planning stages and had great ideas for how to optimize our home and time with our guests. As if the delicious food weren't enough, she also made sure the kitchen and dining room were clean before she left, which was an added bonus to an otherwise exquisite evening. I would highly recommend her and will not hesitate to call her again when we entertain.
Stephen catered our party for my daughter's highschool graduation. He and his assistants were awesome! First of all the pizzas were absolutely delicious. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting on how good the food was. He made the party special. He was engaging with the guests, explaining the different kinds and fulfilling requests. He was so wonderful to work with and kept our spirits up when the weather for a planned backyard event turned stormy. He was the best!
We had Al Lago cater a 40th Birthday Dinner Party for 50 people. The event was success. They were on time and food was fabulous. They hosted the bar and it was a wonderful evening.

We had Design Perfect Catering help us with our holiday party. I was able to pick and choose items for our menu as we have a variety of dietary choices in our group. Response time was that day to the next day - very quickly when setting the menu. Our food was brought promptly at the desired time and was set up so nicely! It was very festive and a beautiful presentation. The food was really good, many compliments were made. Thank you for the great experience!
Cyndie helped me with our Super Bowl party. It was our friends house in Woodinville, and she brought over a ton of dishes. We had 15 people at the party, and what impressed me most was our friends had made a few dishes as well, and when I got to the party I could immediately tell which were the ones that Cyndie brought. They looked very professional, and tasted even better. My friends said that she was perfectly on time, and they said the experience was excellent.
Chef David Boyd- Private Chef-Down to Earth Cuisine "Delicious, organic, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated dishes"- On August 7th I hired Private Chef David Boyd to prepare an Italian Dinner for 10 in my home. (I had offered the "Italian Dinner for 8" as an auction item not knowing at the time who I would hire) He (and his lovely wife, also hired to assist him) arrived at 1pm to begin cooking for the 5:30pm event. Earlier in the week, we met to decide on the menu, appropriate tableware and wine/beverage pairings for the 5 course menu. We went with a Northern Italian theme featuring peaches because they were in season and seafood. I handled the purchase of the wine and cocktail ingredients but paid half of the per person food cost up front so that he could do all the grocery shopping which he did using local fish/meat stores and organically grown fruit and veggies from our area farmers market. He also arrived with all of his own knives and most utensils needed though he did use my mixing bowls and cookware. The entire meal was then prepared in our kitchen. Because he makes everything from scratch like croutons, mayonnaise, sugared garnish for the dessert etc. it is very time consuming, labor intensive and requires full use of your kitchen. He and his wife worked hard and fast for the 4.5 hours before guests arrived. They were conscientious and they cleaned and emptied the garbage etc. as they went. The result was delicious, organic, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated dishes that my husband and I were proud to serve to our guests. I would suggest discussing the estimated prep time for individual menu items as well as the per person cost ahead of time. Chef David seems capable of working within any reasonable budget, but he does require a lot of prep time if you choose complex menu items so that factors into his hourly rate. I think the dinner cost me more than what guests paid at the auction but that's totally my fault for not being more clear about my budget and for suggesting such complex ideas like an appetizer of scallops served in some sea shells I had. All in all, it was a very impressive, well paced, 5 course meal, and my guests enjoyed hearing Chef David explain the details of each delicious course as it was served. It was so nice to be able to just relax and enjoy my guests rather than stress about the food and clean-up. A really fun experience! I recommend hiring Chef David Boyd of Down to Earth Cuisine for your next dinner party. - Suzy H.
We operate Kruger Escapes, an adventure sailing charter business based in the San Juan Islands of Washington State. Two years ago we established a partnership with Nichole of Island Chef Services. In preparation for each of our sailing trips, we provide Nichole with detailed food surveys from each of our guests. Nichole then works her magic, always demonstrating incredible thoughtfulness, planning, preparation and execution. From the food surveys, she prepares detailed menu plans, shops for all the food, then fully preps each meal (for up to seven days!). As a final step she provides us with detailed instructions on how to finish preparing each meal and plate it beautifully. This relationship allows us to quickly prepare and serve freshly cooked meals while underway AND maintain a gourmet food experience for our guests that is specifically catered to their tastes. On every sailing trip with Nichole's food, our guests express delight over the menu and surprise at just how much delicious food is on board the boat. Our guests' comments include statements like, "How did she know my favorite dinner?!", "This is beautiful!" or "This is our most favorite way to eat. We want to meet Nichole!" On a smaller scale, last Christmas we hired Nichole to make an apple pie for our family dinner. My dad is NOT easy to impress with pie, and apple is his favorite. It was a little heartbreaking to have to tell him I wasn't the one who baked the pie he was so happy with... and then he kept saying, "This Nichole really knows how to bake an apple pie." We love you Nichole!!

I was having a difficult time finding a caterer that was reasonable and willing to work with me. I kept getting frustrated by caterers by their lack of flexibility to get the meal we were wanting. That all changed when I talked with Gwen. She was friendly, understanding and willing to work with me. Her prices were reasonable and as soon as I said "wedding" she didn't charge her demeanor like the other caterers did. My reception had 200 guests and almost everyone of them complemented the buffet. I don't know how else to explain how satisfied I was...great food, great customer service, and reception dinner that went off without a hitch. I am so thankful I found Yellow Bird Catering!
Shauna was amazing to work with - she provided an incredible meal for our wedding and also took on the burden of supplying rentals. Everything went on without a hitch, and was a great experience! Late into our engagement, my wife was diagnosed with cancer. We saw the wedding as an opportunity to have a break from everything life has been throwing at us, and with Shauna's help it was an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend reaching out to Entropy Cooks if you are looking for a caterer for your event. The food was incredible, the service was great, the price was more than reasonable, and the experience was everything we had hoped and more.
I needed a caterer for a wedding reception and initially clung to the first caterer to respond. Before I found Bert, I had a caterer who didnt communicate anything, and was very pricy. Finally, a month before my reception date, I decided to scope out other options. My experience with Bert was outstanding from the very start. He didnt just introduce himself, he had an entire portfolio together with sample menus, pricing and scenarios. His pricing is out of this world, and it includes everything from awesome customer service to impromptu wedding planning! He not only helped me with my food choices, but he also had recommendations on what works best at receptions for setup and execution. He met on location prior to go over everything, and hell even chill your beverages the night before. I cant say enough about the kindness and professionalism of his staff. The food was amazing and cooked fresh on site. I would not hesitate to use Bert in the future, and I would recommend him to everyone and anyone. Thank you for making a nervous day sail smooth!!
I have been a guest at several private dinner parties catered by Jen from the Salted Fig. These parties are by invitation only and promise a culinary journey you won't forget- and they deliver! Jen's menus are creative, cohesive, and absolutely delicious. The meals always feel so personal and nurturing, like she knew exactly what I wanted to eat, even though she is cooking for 20 of us. I am a foodie so when i saw fliers inviting for a free food tasting at Stella Maris Kitchen i could not miss it! I was amazed at the quality and variety of the food that was available!! Menu consisted of delightful African dishes, tasty Italian pastas, gourmet American burgers, salads, sandwiches etc. What i liked most was the fact that everything on the menu was the healthy version: no sugar or additives. I raved about them in the office and we had them cater for our Christmas party and everyone loved the food. They have since catered two company birthday parties and a recent send-off party for a member of my staff. The latter event was impromptu yet hot, freshly prepared salmon sandwiches, shrimp pasta salad, garden salad, Jollof rice and tasty sauteed greens for 50 people was delivered at short notice I will certainly recommend you try them!!
