I would give 3.5 stars, if Thumbtack allowed it (rounded up) I hired Sam to pour an 11’x34’ patio in my back yard Area used to be part yard, part patio. Demoed the area myself. Cost: Sam wasn’t the most expensive nor the cheapest of the 4 quotes I received on Thumbtack. All were within $500 of one another. Pros: Sam and his crew are a nice group guys. Good price. Finished Patio looks good. Cons: Messy, spilt concrete in a couple place on my yard (he replaced the sod), on my french doors and spots on the house (took me an 1hr to pressure wash off) and in a couple spots along the walk way (dug up). There was also framing nails and cigarette butts left in the yard. The communication between us could have been better. Hire Again. I would as long as he promised the crew would pick up after themselves.
Pedro did such a great job removing the concrete pad in our yard. He was very friendly and easy to work with. We are looking forward to working with him on our next project.
Adam completed laminate flooring and baseboard in our basement. He was detailed in his design and delivery. He picked up all the right things for my concrete floor, leveled my floor and installed. He committed to dates and completed it. We have been very pleased by his work and have recommended him to our friends. Thanks Adam for taking good care of our basement. It looks great
Patrick did a great job on our new back patios. He worked with my wife and I to come up with a design, color, and texture. His design was creative and incorporated features from our house and yard. He also was able to fix some of our existing concrete walkways. Anytime we have people come to our back yard they comment on how it is the best concrete stamp work they have seen...even people in the construction industry! We look forward to finally being able to get together with family and friends on our new patio and fire pit areas for years in the future! Thanks Patrick for a job well done!
I hired Alex and his crew to renew my driveway. I had both a negative and a positive experience with my driveway. Being a female I assumed that any contractor will take advantage of me and take me on a run for my money, hence my excitement when I got a recommendation from a colleague. When my project was completed, I was over the moon excited and had a one up on my husband because I completed a task he had procrastinated with for a few years, and here is the positive. Alex had a bit of a higher rate then a few of the estimates I had received from various sites (Angie's list, Craig's list, here in thumbtack as well) I however chose Alex concrete because he came highly recommended and he seemed an OK guy when I met him and so the job began. He was on time, kept me informed of the status and the state my driveway until the last day. Unfortunately, a month or 2 after the job was completed, to my horror I noticed a long 10 inch crack at the center of my beautiful layed driveway. I didn't know if I should scream, laugh or cry. Not to mention the "I TOLD YOU SO" from my husband. Frantically, I called Alex and DEMANDED he fixed this terrible crack and that it was his fault. Alex calmed me down and drove over to Shelton the next day, assessed the damage and we came to an agreement, yes concrete cracks just like glass and wood they are not guaranteed to last and it was an unforeseen situation. Alex came back and fixed the cracks and didn't charge me ( I provided the materials, because it was only fare). Long story short, my boss hired him for a sidewalk and an designed concrete slab for his back yard and my sister has secured a contract with him for the summer. I now have learned not to pour concrete during the winter as it will crack lol. I'm sorry for the long novel, but I feel Alex deserves a good review.
I needed to remove an old retaining wall that was falling down and rotting. It was made of railway ties and was 70' long and 5-6' high. Julio and his crew did a great job without complaining. The job turned out to be much bigger than anticipated. All the work had to be done by hand including the removal of 80 old HEAVY ties from a steep hill. They also had to carry most of the stone and fill in 5 gallon buckets due to the location of a shed and the collapsing hillside. The wall itself collapsed adding to the difficulty. Add to that the nasty cold and rainy weather and it was not fun. They replaced the wall with new 6x6x8 treated landscape timber and reinforced it with posts in concrete. They also installed a drainage system which the first wall did not have. Throughout it all, they had a tremendous attitude and were promising that the job would get done and that they wanted to do it right. Julio did not ask for more money than his bid(even though the job probably took twice as long as planned). I did voluntarily give him additional funds. It was well worth it and the wall looks great. I now have confidence that my shed and house will not be sliding down the steep hill into the creek.
The guys from parody came to our home to do a job of concrete remove the old and put in new one and we have been delighted to dinner great job thanks guys I would definitely recommend it
Vili repaired the expansion joints in my concrete driveway and repaired a drain in my driveway. He was very responsive, waited until the weather was appropriate before doing his work, and his prices were very reasonable compared to others. The quality of work was great
We had this company renovate our back yard, new sod, retaining wall, garden beds, fire pit, deck, concrete patio, and small putting green for hubby! Love it ! Amazing craftsmanship!
Jim is great to work with! I do house flip renovations and I use Jim for all of my concrete and landscaping. I highly recommend Jim and King of Kings. Today you usually have to pick between integrity or quality, but with Jim you get both.
Derek did a great job for us! We hired his company to remove and old concrete stoop and a small concrete slab. He was very flexible in scheduling a visit so he could do the estimate and then promptly had it to us by that afternoon. His work was great too. Just as asked the stairs and slab were removed complete with disposal as advertised. I could not be more satisfied.
Allen has been working the last three years on LOTS of projects at my house. Ranging from pouring a new concrete walkway, to framing and insulating my basement, to running wire, and tile work in a bathroom remodel.
I'm glad we decided to go with Paul Finau as our concrete contractor. Paul went the extra mile to get the initial consultation, gave us a good bid (not the cheapest, but the best). I liked that he clearly laid out what the job would entail, and what it would cost. He and his crew clearly knew what they were doing and the result is a beautiful driveway.
Bill was on time and immediately responded when I would contact him. I hired Evagreen to demo a 20x30 concrete slab and remove some large bushes and yard waste. He completed the work over two consecutive days. He was fairly priced within the market and I enjoyed working with him. Would hire again.
Very hard working guys and they went extra mile to help me fix my fence. Excellent quality of the concrete work. Highly recommended for your project!
Rich is a really good guy, and his guys do really nice work. After a garage fire, they ground and epoxied all the concrete. Looks amazing
They are very nice pros with great quality work, and affordable
I hired LoveStar Improvement, LLC to do all kinds of concrete work. Lavinia and her crew were very easy to work with even with changes that I needed to do, they were efficient, dedicated, and hard working crew. The weather was an issue, but she definitely handled scheduling with ready mix and pumping company along with keeping me in the loop very well. I will definitely hire LoveStar Improvement, LLC anytime in the future and highly recommend their services to anyone.
Leslie and his team were affordable, professional, and accommodating to our request to install a concrete walkway. The work was so good, we increased the scope of the job to include an additional walkway and some driveway edgework. We did an exposed aggregate surface, and the work they did merged seamlessly with the prior concrete. The rates were fair, and if we thought they were a little off, it was an easy conversation to see if there was anything that could be done to reduce costs through changing the scope of the job. His team works hard, gets the work done quickly, and they are all very friendly. We will definitely reach out to Leslie Construction again if we need any concrete performed. I think they do other work too, so when other jobs come up, we will certainly reach out to Leslie to see if it is something they can do at a fair price. Highly recommended for concrete work and possibly other work as well.
Lui Construction did a awesome job with our concrete project..The price was spot on for our project. They came in demo our old ugly Concrete patio /sidewalk and driveway and haul it out for recycling.and put up the forms .From beginning of the project to the end he did exactly what we discussed.Lui went on and Beyond with his expertise and make our home looks way better then before..Lui is easy to communicate with and keep us updates with our projects every steps...Lui and his crew work clean and clean up every day after work.I will definitely recommend Lui Construction to my family and friends. Now I know who to call for my next project keep up the great work Lui Construction I’m a happy customer.
We were replacing an old patio with grandiose plans on a budget, so I took several bids. While Concrete Champs was not the lowest bid, during the bidding process, the manner in which Lepi asked questions and made suggestions so that my small budget didn't result in just a concrete slab gave me confidence and trust. We settle on a plan and slated the work to begin in mid-June. Our June weather was lousy, so we got off to a bit of a late start. The job was estimated to take 4-5 days, but when Lepi saw rain coming in the forecast, they pushed hard and got the work done in two. That second day, they spent 12 hours on site to get the job done. I was impressed!!! After the rain, all that was left was staining a border pattern we had done, and the sealer. We now have 650 square feet of outdoor living space to enjoy July and August days outdoors!
