Jason is the professional you hope for when hiring a contractor. He did our job on time at the price quoted with excellent communication during. Couldn’t recommend him more.
Bob was a joy to work with whom we needed to come finish the job of another subcontractor who abandoned the project. Bob worked in a timely and efficient manner taking his time to pay attention to every detail. I am definitely hiring him again for my future interior design projects.
My husband and I interviewed numerous contractors to build a 300 s.f. addition for our home. After several months of interviews we decided that Jeff was the best fit for us. This was his first home addition for a customer. We couldn't be more pleased with the final results. Jeff drew the plans for our addition, applied for all necessary permits, and hired subcontractors where required. He did it all! It was a comfort for us to deal with just one person who was on-site every day during our project. This is not something you would generally get from larger companies. I was the main contract person for this large, 4-month long project. I appreciate that he genuinely listens to his customer's needs and concerns. He answered ALL of my questions - there were a lot! :) His customer service and communications skills exceed most other contractors we've hired. He has a high level of integrity, is respectful of your home, and an all around pleasant person to work with. Our addition is beautiful!! We loved that Jeff included us in the process and never assumed what we might want. The project took a little longer then expected; however, taking into consideration that a number of issues were out of Jeff's hands we were okay with the delay. We know that our structure is solid and safe. We've already hired him for our next project; remodeling our bathroom. Thank you Jeff from the bottom of our hearts. Sincerely, The Williams Family Kevin, Terri, Katie, Thomas, and Christopher
If we could give Jose and Polo TWENTY stars, we would! Every single thing was handled quickly and professionally. Our bid was quick (and reasonable), Jose was thorough about asking what we wanted and talked us through the process - a good communicator with years of experience and a fantastic personality. They worked so hard - even when the temps got in to the 90's they didn't slow down. Our three story home now looks like new. We only wish every contractor were as kind and driven to high quality work as Seattle Painting. They are absolutely THE BEST in the business! Highly recommended.
Jeremy worked quickly and did good work. His pricing is fair, and he is friendly and easy to work with.
Did a good job at a very fair price for the most part. However, was unable to get him to come back to finish a couple finishing issues like damaged gutters in the roof removal process and no lip flashing into the gutter that I identified once it started raining. There were several family health issues provided as reasons so I had to get another roofer to finish up some of those finishing touches. However, no leaks were there within the roof iteself and he had to remove 3 layers of prior roofing material which was a lot of work and he did it at a very fair price.
Terry contacted me within 1 business day. He came to my home and looked at the job that afternoon. My Sister's very old rocker needed new coil springs. There was a question about the parts being available. He immediately went to the best possible suppler, found the parts and bought them. He contacted me that evening and by agreement came by on Saturday to pick-up the chair. Monday he delivered the chair to my Sis. Two less things on my ToDo list. We have already discussed other items I would like him to work on. Thank-you, Terry.
During a full week of heavy rainfall we had a flood happen in our newly finished basement of our 1942 home which had been recently remodeled with an additional story. Needless to say I was extremely stressed as our carpets were soaked and I had no idea how the water had come into our basement. That same night I contacted Robert via email (found his services on Thumbtack) and he immediately responded and personally came to our house the next morning to view the damages. He had a restoration company come out that same day to pull out the carpet pads and dry out our basement. A few days later, after the basement was dried out, Robert personally came back out to investigate the cause of the water intrusion. With the added story to our house our fear was that the additional weight had cracked the foundation. But after pulling out the drywall he noticed the insulation around our old, unused chimney was soaked. There were also old water stains coming out of our old furnace flue which was connected to the old chimney. Robert proceeded to go outside and do numerous tests around the foundation as well as climbing to the top of our chimney to find that it was improperly capped. When he tested the top of the chimney by spraying water up towards it from the ground, as if it were raining, we witnessed water coming into the basement where the old water stains were apparent. Robert resealed the cap and wrote out a detailed report on what needs to be fixed to ensure a leak from the chimney would never happen again. Robert also directly called our insurance to explain what he found which helped our case in getting insurance to cover the costs. By Robert accurately detecting the cause of the flood insurance covered the costs of this project. Robert was very responsive and trustworthy. I could quickly tell that he was on our side and was compassionate towards our problem. His subcontractors were very nice and they got the job done right and efficiently. I highly recommend Robert for any home emergencies. He is extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, compassionate and an all around good guy.
Carlos arrived promptly for the job at 9am. He was very professional and patiently explained what he would do to get the job done. He did an awesome job above and beyond and did not change his original quote. Without any hesitation, I would have him do all my carpentry work in the future. He is highly recommended!!
Paul has supervised several small to medium projects for us since 1992. These jobs were in the cities of Seattle, Bellevue, and Renton Washington. They ranged in scope from room additions to complete bathroom and kitchen renovations. Paul always stood out from most contractors because of his honesty, clear communication, on-time completion, and bringing the projects within our budget. He thoroughly planned each project, made sure we understood what was being done, and kept us informed of the progress, and problems that arose, throughout the span of the job. As Paul apprised us from the outset, construction goes without any hitches, only in heaven. We were able to be involved in all decisions, including change orders, and schedule or budget adjustments. What minor bumps occurred were dealt with promptly, courteously, and to our eventual satisfaction beyond our expectations. Paul and his very reliable craftsmen/women were professional in appearance, manners, and respectful of our privacy and listened closely to our concerns. We felt very comfortable having them in our home. Without sounding like a white wash job, Paul has obviously learned from the mistakes of other contractors, and made the adjustments that have made his company avoid most problems that arise due to lack of planning and his employees and subcontractors obviously reflect Paul's values of constant, and clear, honest communication between Company personnel and us, the client. We would not hesitate to offer the highest recommendation for Best Home Improvements. Paul leaves a good impression of Home Improvement and Remodeling in our memories.
Andy has worked with us since 2006. He has remodeled bathrooms, done indoor and outdoor painting projects, installed hardwood floor and carpet, built sheds, helped us put in a circular cobblestone driveway, supervised a roof project, installed a water heater, built retaining walls, paths, a vegetable garden, done landscaping, repaired our swimming pool and spa, installed kitchen appliances, done woodworking and built furniture. He has come to our rescue many times for emergency repairs. He is great about setting up projects for us to help with labor or to do ourselves. Andy's main concern in any project is safety. He is also interested in saving the customer money whenever possible but never at the expense of quality. He is an environmentally conscious contractor. He will always come back and do warranty work if needed. His records are always thorough and specific. In an effort to do the extra little things we request, he can run behind schedule and the job may take a bit longer than first projected. The main reason we bring Andy back for project after project is his honesty and integrity. We have worked with many contractors in our 30 plus years of marriage and have never found anyone we trust this much.
Bill Bowyer completed two extensive kitchen remodels for me as well as several bath updates. His work was excellent and the results were beautiful. Most importantly he was punctual and if he had helpers/subcontractors he managed them very well. His approach is collaborative and his presence is both upbeat and professional. By the way, I'm planning another bath update soon and selecting Harbor Cross Construction for that project was an easy decision based on great past experiences. We hired Forte Construction and Nate Huhta to remodel our kitchen, finish our basement (including the addition of a new bathroom), and remodel our backyard deck. They did beautiful work, and clearly took pride in doing everything right. Nate is a very good communicator, and always kept us informed about the status of the project, any changes that he suggested, and any potential changes in price. We always felt in control of the project, and were never pressured to spend more money than we intended. In fact, one of the best things about Forte was the incredibly specific and detailed bid they created at the outset of the project, before they had even been hired. Nate took the time to shop for materials, reach out to subcontractors, and honestly assess the cost of the project. Because of this initial bid, we were never surprised about the cost of anything that occurred during the project. Nate was also full of great ideas, was a very talented "decorator," and made great suggestions about how to make our initial project ideas even better. The project took longer than we expected, which could have been frustrating. Honestly, the majority of the extra time was due to our decisions about the scope of the work and Nate's willingness to be flexible. But Nate's ability to stay in contact with us and clearly communicate what was occurring with the project made the extension of time bearable. Finally, Nate's crew was friendly, clean, and caring. We lived at home during the project, and therefore spent a lot of time "rubbing shoulders" with the crew. It was never awkward, as they were always incredibly respectful of our space and our time. I could not possibly provide a better recommendation for a contractor. For all the horror stories out there, we feel incredibly fortunate to have found Nate and Forte Construction Alliance. I'll let Nate post the photos of our amazing new home!!
Paulsen construction produced a 85% remodel on my home. Scott provided detailed information on improvements as well as a timeline of completion that worked for us. Scott has the best sub-contractors and he ensures they are in sync with his vision. Great job!!
Our experience with Creative Home Renovations, Inc. is extremely positive. We own a small apartment complex in Marysville, WA. Our remodel began as basic replacements by various companies including the roof, gutters and attic insulation. However, the insulation company recommended repairs to the soffits prior to the insulation install; therefore introducing us to Mr. Johnson of Creative Home Renovations. Within a day of the call, and knowing bad weather was setting in, Mr. Johnson and crew replaced the soffits, venting, and facia. Impressed with the workmanship, timeliness, commitment, cleanliness/excellent clean-up, and crew, we sought a bid on carport repair which then followed the ‘gut' and luxury remodel of a 2 bedroom unit, then expanding to the remodel and repair of 5 other units. Mr. Johnson worked right along with his crew, coordinated and contracted excellent specialists as needed at a fair price. In fact, Mr. Johnson was my ‘watchdog’ over workman hired by myself such as the asphalt replacement and exterior drainage. Mr. Johnson kept us informed with multiple pictures of prior condition, issues uncovered, and work completed. Any issues that popped up during or after the remodel, Mr. Johnson or his crew immediately addressed or coordinated with someone that could even if he wasn’t responsible for the item in question. Mr. Johnson’s pricing is fair and equitable and provided insight and recommendations to our ‘architectural’ ideas. And most important, Mr. Johnson and crew are committed to the owner maintaining immediate and ongoing communication. And Mr. Johnson acted as a sounding board and liaison between myself, the property manager, and the tenants. Without that, the project would have taken forever to complete. I cannot thank Rob and his men enough. Quality, commitment, fair pricing, organized, hard working, respectful of property, and likable - quite a combination. The company does it all (wallboards, ceiling boards, cabinet and flooring install, lighting, electrical, plumbing, structural, baseboards, molding, painting, siding, soffits, venting, etc.) or coordinates with subcontractors as needed. The building looks amazing… resulting in an improved bottom-line and salability, as well as owner and tenant pride.
I'm a semi-retired contractor that uses subcontractors on a regular basis. The project is a complicated tile shower and tub layout requiring several phases and coordination between his crew and my people. Its been a pleasure to working with IRC and I look forward to working with them in the future. They're real pros.
Matt made it easy to have success in our renovation of a bedroom and construction of a garage. In addition to his skills as a builder, he is a good communicator and a creative problem-solver. He was a strong advocate for us with the subcontractors and made a complicated process a pleasure. I will absolutely hire him again.
