There is no waiting for concrete to cure or stain to dry. Another important aspect is that Pavers are a lot less expensive and easier to repair down the road. What we need to remember is that pavers are an induvial unit that interlocks with one another and makes a forgiving environment with extreme pressure, expansions and contraction. They are also made in molds with extremely high psi. It depends on the paver, but some are made with as much as 8,000 psi. Thus making them less likely to crack. We can’t get around maintains but it is very minimal when you take the proper steps to have them installed correctly. We always install a woven GEO-TEXTILE fabric which not only keeps the weeds from coming up from underneath the pavers but helps stabilize the paver and keep it in position. When installed correctly pavers will outlast concrete 10 to 15 times. It is essential how they are installed because that will determine your lasting beauty and value of your investment.
