FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard pricing for the smaller projects is $160 per hour for on-site work (preparation, authorization acquisition, filming/shooting, etc) and $70 per hour for studio work (photo processing in Adobe Lightroom and video editing in DaVinci Resolve Studio 17). For larger projects daily rates apply: $1000 per day for on-site work, $450 per day for studio work. I an also sell my existing photos and videos, the price depends on the footage - whether it's stock clips or edited and completed videos. The price may range from $150 for 10 second clip to $1500 for a three-minute video reel of Seattle.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I listen & understand your needs first, I do research, I explore the target location on Google Maps in 3D, I may suggest an approach for your project and things like the best weather & time of day for shooting/filming, I explain details about pricing & process. For example, when Jeremy C. asked me to make a music video of his boat based on Nirvana's song "Smells Like Teen Spirit", I requested that the people on the boat will listen to the actual song and play to it so that their movements corresponds to the beat. Also I suggested that the boat should be moving, not just stationary as Jeremy wanted - this was harder to film, but looked much better. I helped envision the end product and the better way to achieve the best results. And our video won the competition.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed several paid courses on photography, videography, drone piloting and video editing that amount to hundreds of hours of training and practice. My work and portfolio speak for themselves.
