We unfortunately only attended one of Bryan's drum lessons .(only because my four year old wouldn't practice). Bryan was great! He even had on Aladdin, upon us arriving which made my daughter extra comfortable. It was a great ice breaker for them to talk about. I would absolutely recommend Bryan to anyone needing drum lessons ages kids to adult.

I was looking for someone to help me improve my singing for my amateur theater hobby. And I found him. Jeremy is a kind, patient, and knowledgeable teacher and I would highly recommend him. I didn't realize how expensive voice lessons were going to be but now, I don't even care with how impressed I am. He can tell just by listening to me sing, what is going on internally that is causing issues, whether its pitch, tone, support, breath, mouth shape, you name it. He highly emphasizes technique which its exactly what I wanted from a teacher. My other teachers were more concerned with mastering an audition piece. Jeremy works technique through exercises and challenging pieces which will make you better at singing any song. And not just two songs that will get you the part. I have had 4 lessons and right now its a lot of deconstructing bad singing habits, which basically feels like learning how to walk because I've never sung properly before. I'm excited to see where this goes!

Jordan is friendly, professional, and supportive. She uses music that I'm passionate about in order to teach the skills and fine tune technique. If you are thinking about singing for the first time or hoping to expand your present skills, Jordan is the right teacher for you!

Minami has provided vocal and piano lessons for our tween daughter for several months. My daughter loves the instruction that Minami gives- a great combo of fun and learning. She is always positive and considerate with her feedback to the student while producing the results needed. I love the convenience of her home lessons as well as her prompt communication.

I took voice lessons from Jonathan, starting in 2008 for about 5 years. Voice lessons work! Jonathan took me from someone who could (usually) sing correct pitches to someone who could sing with good technique and confidence, and am currently singing tenor with Cascadian Chorale. I have continued to recommend Jonathan to friends, and recommend him to you, too. Voice lessons are fun and are a great personal-growth experience.

I love working with Erica! Prior to taking lessons from her, I had no experience singing and was absolutely terrified of it. Erica really took the time to help me identify strengths & weaknesses in my voice & helped me improve hugely! I definitely recommend her!

Teresa is really sweet, and helpful. She is very supportive when it comes to bettering my voice, and she has a lot of great warm ups and techniques. She lets you pick the songs that you want to work on (my last singing teacher made me sing songs that weren't my style), which is awesome too!

I have been taking voice lessons with Heather since the end of March, and it has been a wonderful experience. Heather is a dedicated teacher who is always considering the way I learn and trying to incorporate new approaches to help me gain mastery. She provides lots of extra support outside of lessons as well if I have questions. The notes she provides after each lesson as well as the warm up videos and backing tracks are so helpful with my practice. Be prepared to work hard if you want to make a difference in your singing. Heather has helped me knock down unrealistic expectations (everyone on the radio is "airbrushed", people!) while building up a strong foundation for proper technique. Singing is not easy, but with practice, hard work, and an excellent teacher like Heather you can see a lot of rewarding progress. I look forward to my lesson every week and am so glad I hired Heather.

M.Alex is an excellent voice instructor! I spent years trying to sing, never fully realizing that my technique was way off and potentially damaging. He's been very patient with me as I've worked on re-training my voice, applying just enough pressure to keep me motivated without causing me undue stress. His calm demeanor and sense of humor help make our lessons relaxing and fun, yet he balances that well with a professional determination to get results. He knows a lot about vocal anatomy, which allowed him to customize his approach to my circumstances, devising routines and exercises that have enabled me to overcome the bad singing habits I've developed. Yet he also knows enough to know the boundaries of his own knowledge: after hearing certain qualities in my voice, he recommended that I work with a speech therapist, as well. This was a very wise recommendation, and my continued work with him was even more effective as a result of the support of the speech therapist. M.Alex is knowledgeable, flexible, patient, and professional. I highly recommend him!

Reviews Clarice teaches Singing About Teaches students: Ages 6+ and special needs Teaching since: 2008 Here's a little information about me and my teaching! 1) My experience as a teacher: I have been teaching both privately and at music schools for over 7 years. I have experience teaching private voice lessons and music therapy. 2) My experience as a performer: I currently sing and perform in the Seattle area. I recently moved from Chicago where I had a very active career singing. I know how to prepare you for auditions and performances because I myself am performing and auditioning. 3) My students: I've taught many different students, from beginners to advanced singers, children to adults. Whether you just want to learn how to sing your favorite song, or you are preparing for professional auditions, I can help! 4) I think singing takes hard work, but it's also important to have fun! It is my goal to help every one of my students: 1) develop a healthy singing technique that will bring longevity to your career or hobby. 2) learn music efficiently and independently. 3) develop good practice habits. 4) learn basic ear training/sight singing. Clarice is a wonderful find of a teacher and coach. She helped me to prepare for a Mahler audition that was out of my comfort zone (I've mostly done Baroque repertoire, and Mahler sounds so much better when you're 50). She helped me to really get in touch with my core breathing, and to sing a legato line like you never get in early music. She also gave really good coaching advice on things like color and brightness of tone, with thoughts of making it cut through a thick texture. I really liked the advice "pp is a color, not a volume." I have yet to hear about my audition results, but unlike many, I felt really good about how I sang. I'm looking forward to more lessons with Clarice so that I can keep on singing healthily for the next 20 years into my 70s.

Steve has been giving me voice lessons (baritone/bass) roughly weekly for four years. He has helped me improve my singing in many ways including development of a free sound, better vowel quality, use of vibrato (aka "movement"), fuller breaths, and attention to musicianship. Steve also has been patient and adaptable. I do not practice very much outside of lessons and am not open to solo performance, but Steve is willing to work with those limitations. He also has been flexible regarding travel, teaching me at my workplace. Steve's relaxed, low-key style and clever exercises put me at ease and help me to do my best singing. I strongly endorse Steve as a voice teacher.
