FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, while there are no formal CE classes that I can enroll in. I am always reading information on what new ideas are being requested. I recently read about a unity ceremony that used rose petals as a way to recognize family and friends that were not able to attend the ceremony. I can't wait to try this out with one of my couples.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I volunteered to perform a friends wedding after seeing how stressed she and the groom to be were becoming while trying to accommodate their families ideas of how they should be married. My friend was so stressed that we joked about finding someone that could marry them in a park that was special to them (just like in the TV show "How I Met Your Mother"). Once I helped perform this ceremony, I was hooked.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common ceremony that I have performed is the unity sand. Couples are looking for something different from the traditional Unity Candle, especially, if they are looking for a way to involve multiple family members in their special day.
