I've been playing guitar for a long time but found myself plateauing off and frankly found my playing boring and stale. After just a couple of months of lessons with Scott I am rejuvenated and playing much better and adding some great theory knowledge to my mechanical skills. Scott has an innate quality that allows him to teach his students exactly what they want (need) to learn, even if they can't express it ...( this was the case with me). My girlfriend has been taking bass lessons with him and she has become a very good player in a very short time. He is highly skilled as a player and teacher and he's laid back and pleasant to work with. I would recommend Scott for literally ANYTHING he agrees to teach you. He's that good.
I always wanted to learn to play guitar, and tried several times to teach myself without success. The idea of taking guitar lessons was super intimidating to me, but I decided to give it a shot, and I'm so glad I did. Ryan is an amazing instructor. His passion for teaching is obvious, and I feel like I learned so much from him in a short amount of time. He addresses all the things any new player faces such as a lack of confidence and bad habits. Right away I felt comfortable and encouraged, and I looked forward to lessons every week. The lessons motivated me to want to practice and work through everything I was learning, and they were always fun. Ryan has a great sense of humor and a knack for using pizza metaphors to explain music theory :) I can't say enough great things about my experience, and I encourage anyone considering lessons with Ryan to definitely go for it. You won't be disappointed.
I’ve been studying guitar with Mary for about two months now, and I can’t say enough good about her. tl;dr: Mary will understand and support your goals for guitar playing, and she is beyond capable of helping you reach those goals. First, Mary is very supportive and cognizant of my goals as a musician. If I had a song in mind that I wanted to learn, I’m absolutely sure she would help me learn it. As a beginner, however, I don’t have anything in mind and happily play the tunes she gives me. Speaking of tunes, she has so many on hand. Every week she gives me new sheets with songs that cover the technique we work on. Mary’s extensive lesson repertoire certainly helps fulfill my goal of expanding my musical vocabulary to more artists and genres, all while developing my skills on guitar. Similar to her supportiveness, Mary is also very understanding yet insistent. As a busy young adult, on average I work eight to ten hours a day and follow a daily workout regimen to boot. While my goal is to practice guitar at least 60 minutes per day, on many days I don’t have time and fall short. Despite less-than-ideal practice, Mary accommodatingly works around the progress I make (or don’t make). At each lesson I can consistently expect help with last week’s trouble areas in addition to new material — Mary sure likes to press on. Can you blame her? There’s technique to master and songs to learn! :) On her teaching style, Mary is very creative. She customizes her lessons to the individual, and — I really like this about her — she tells me exactly what she wants to cover at the next two or three lessons. This way I know what she’ll teach, and I have the opportunity to discuss what I want to learn (e.g. scales, barre chords, etc.). With decades of guitar study under her belt, she can teach anything. By “teach” I mean make you really understand. She has countless analogies, anecdotes, and demonstrations for helping you learn or improve any technique. She’ll try things until it “clicks” for you. Teaching creativity like Mary’s is an invaluable skill that will undoubtedly help any student she has. To end on a light note, Mary truly is a spectacular musician. Her playing is effortless and always a joy to hear. She makes even the beginning things I’m working on sound musical and fun to play. Mary is a gem of a teacher, and I can’t recommend her enough.
Ken is nice and responded very fast to my questions, I purchased guitar lessons for my son birthday, and he was very professional about it.
Taking guitar lessons with Matt was a great experience. He had extraordinary patience with me as I slowly learned, and had great advice to encourage me through the process. Matt recognized when I wasnt grasping a concept, and used creative strategies to help me along. He is a very talented guitar player, and just as great of a teacher. I would highly recommend him.
My son has taken guitar lessons from Ford for years, and could not be happier. He plays his guitar for hours a day now. Fords lessons are very specific to the student, and what they are trying to learn. He has a system, but doesn't hold the student to a strict book learned curriculum, but rather tailors the lessons to the student. We had to take a break, due to multiple other commitments, school, soccer, etc, but my son is very anxious to get back to learning with Ford this year. I have taken up bass, and am thinking about taking some bass lessons from him myself.
I received beginner guitar lessons from Justin. It was great! He taught me the basics and some great tricks to help me remember what I was learning each week. I felt like I improved really quickly with his instructions. I was impressed with how patient he was while he listened to me fumble through the chords!
Started taking singing lessons with Maddy as a complete beginner. She's been so kind, patient, and supportive and is wonderful about explaining how the voice works. I highly recommend her!!
David is a very knowledgeable musician and teacher. I have had lessons from him in both music theory and a band setting. As a band leader he is outstanding and has helped me to understand the theory behind improv soloing. In the study of music theory he is a vault of knowledge and has broken things down to the smallest part so that beginners like me can start learning and USING the info in practice. The book he wrote is well laid out and very useful both in organization of theory and tools for practice on saxophone.
Sami is a wonderful guitar player and teach, as well as songwriter and vocalist. He takes a great interest in his students and helps to motivate them to their full potential. He's a fantastic musician and performer and can bring that experience to his students to help them grow in their performance abilities. He's a teacher who can work with beginners to get them up and playing songs they enjoy quickly, or work with accomplished players to improve their skills. A very caring teacher / mentor for his students.
Skyler did a great job with teaching myself and my daughter guitar! We were both beginners and he was able to help us both learn and advance according to our individual pace (my daughter moved faster then I did ! ). Highly recommend Skyler regardless of your skill level.
I came to Jeffry as a 100% beginner on guitar. I've had experience with drums, but knew absolutely nothing about guitar, other than I knew I wanted to learn how to play. I bought Rocksmith for my XBox, and it was fun, but I didn't feel like I was getting it. The instant feedback of in-person lessons makes a big difference. Jeffry is an expert, and he's patient. I leave each week with plenty to practice, and I feel like I'm making progress. I'd definitely recommend him!
I took bass lessons from Mr. Fairchild for about one year and in that time I improved immensely. Sean helped me with not only technical improvements, but also with groove concepts and overall musicianship. Very professional and always well prepared. Highly recommended!
I came to Nathaniel mid-summer 2013 to begin beginner lessons after careful consideration of his skills. He is so accomplished! After adjustments to find the correct guitar (left handed) we finally got down to brass tacks and I have improved so much under his direction. Nathaniel is so patient and always has the right answer when a question is asked. Nathaniel likes putting some humor in with his instruction technique which helps to relax and enjoy the session. Anyone who is looking for a spectacular instructor, Nathaniel is your choice.
Great guy ... will be taking more lessons
He's real cool and knows how to teach
Music teacher, woodwinds, guitar, keyboards, music theory, improvisation. First of all, Bob is one of THE most creative and energetic players in Seattle. His prowess on woodwinds, guitar, keyboards and other instruments is extraordinary! I have been studying music theory and improvisation from him for several years now. His instruction has literally taken me from beginner to a level of playing that far surpasses what I thought was possible. Not only is his instruction clear, intelligent and cogent, but he tailors his lessons for the individual at hand. He took the time to talk to me and see where I was musically.... He listened to me play and interacted with me and gave me confidence to move forward with ease... And it is this sense of confidence that I have achieved with Bob that has really made the difference for me. I highly recommend Mr. Antolin to anyone (beginner or seasoned pro)who is wanting to expand their knowledge of music, their instrument... to sharpen their chops and creative fire.
When bob taught me about triads it helped me learn about music theory and get my fingers used to playing in a four finger position.

I have been a working musician for many years. I have played from coast to coast, in venues as small as house parties and as big as the House of Blues. Music is a beautiful way to connect and impact those who are around us!

I teach fingerstyle guitar, classical guitar, folk, and rock. I also specialize in the Hal Leonard Method, Fredrick Noad Method, and Christopher Parkening Method. My lessons are tailored to each individual student, to their interests and needs. I generally use the Hal Leonard Guitar method but I will use any method best suited for the goals you want to reach. Whatever method we use will be supplemented with other songs and exercises. My lessons tend to be laid back and fun but also challenging. I expect students to do their best and make an effort. The lessons are taught in my studio with an amp, guitar, music stand, books, and seating, or in the students home. Students are required to have their own instrument. I do have instruments available to rent.

I offer private music lessons for guitar, bass and drums. I teach music reading, scales, chords, freestyle jamming and ultimately to love to play music. I am great with people of all ages and teach according to the student's personality and specifically desired path in playing. I have been playing since I was in the fourth grade and urge parents to start your kids on the musical path, while they are young. They learn quicker and will be able to grow into musical adults! They will thank you in their album liner notes. Talk to you soon, Bradley Tatum
