Mary is teaching guitar to my 11 year old daughter. When we came to Mary my daughter had 4 years of choir experience but no musical instrument lessons. Mary is patient yet specific in her requests, my daughter is enjoying playing the classical guitar while learning much about technique. Mary is good at seeing my daughters learning style and using that to both their benefit. I would highly recommend her.

I've been playing guitar for a long time but found myself plateauing off and frankly found my playing boring and stale. After just a couple of months of lessons with Scott I am rejuvenated and playing much better and adding some great theory knowledge to my mechanical skills. Scott has an innate quality that allows him to teach his students exactly what they want (need) to learn, even if they can't express it ...( this was the case with me). My girlfriend has been taking bass lessons with him and she has become a very good player in a very short time. He is highly skilled as a player and teacher and he's laid back and pleasant to work with. I would recommend Scott for literally ANYTHING he agrees to teach you. He's that good.

I had one 1-hour guitar lesson with Curt and it was a good experience. He clearly knows his stuff. He listened well and took the time to get a sense of where I'm at. After playing some he gave me some exercises that I think will be very helpful. I will be going back for more lessons.

I took bass lessons from Mr. Fairchild for about one year and in that time I improved immensely. Sean helped me with not only technical improvements, but also with groove concepts and overall musicianship. Very professional and always well prepared. Highly recommended!

Taking guitar lessons with Matt was a great experience. He had extraordinary patience with me as I slowly learned, and had great advice to encourage me through the process. Matt recognized when I wasn’t grasping a concept, and used creative strategies to help me along. He is a very talented guitar player, and just as great of a teacher. I would highly recommend him.

Liam Leo guitar on a regular basis for nearly two years and we couldn’t have been happier with his work. His skill as a musician was clear from the start. But equally impressive were his intangible skills. He was a great communicator with our son— a teacher who took learning seriously but also made learning fun. Leo always looked forward to his lessons, which to us was as good an indication as any of the quality of Liam’s work. But beyond that, Leo really professed as a musician under Liam’s guidance, learning elements of theory and fundamentals of technique but also learning to play a lot of really cool songs. Leo found Liam inspiring , so much so that Leo wound applying to the same arts school that Liam attended. He’s a sixth grader there now, happily building on the musical foundation that Liam helped lay for him.

We've been working with Ken since September for our 11 year old's electric guitar lessons. We've been pleased with Ken's professionalism, structure and teaching style. Our son has learned a great deal in a short time after being away from lessons for two years and enjoys his lessons a lot. Ken is a great guy to work with and the studio is a nice place for private lessons. We've had the opportunity to meet a few of his other students around my son's lesson times, and it's clear that Ken is able to teach and work with a wide variety of ages and levels. We give Ken our highest recommendation.

Thomas is a great guy. For me, the number one quality I look for in a colleague or partner is that they are someone that I would want to be my friend. Call me crazy, but I prefer to work with friends even though many might choose otherwise. To me this means working with people I trust, people I enjoy spending time with, and people that I know will work hard. All of these things are true of Thomas. Thomas is also of course a skilled musician that isn’t just a good guitar player and a teacher, but he loves music and he loves people, two essential components for being a great music teacher and a faculty member at TIA. Call us and book your lessons or classes with Thomas! Start having fun and making music.

My name is Bronson (23). I am a pianist (17 years), a guitarist (8 years) and a dedicated musician. I am looking for bass lessons to further understand music theory from a bassist's perspective. Even though I don't primarily play the bass, my main influences in music are mostly bassists. Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke, Trevor Dunn, and so on... Plus, I think that if I learn more about the bass I will have a stronger sense of rhythm.
