FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is a lot of work that goes into photography that the customer doesn't see and isn't involved with. Fortunately for you, I'll take care of the prep work, scouting, editing, file transfers, etc. What that means though is that even if our time together is only an hour, I am spending at least 2-3 hours in preparation and post-processing, so I aim to be upfront with costs and provide an honest pricing structure that will work for both of us. If your project is something that I am not as experienced in yet or want to build my portfolio in that realm, I'll give you a discount on my price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I think that without knowing someone on a personal level to really understand what it is that they want, a photographer won't truly be able to provide the amount of care and the final result that they are seeking. I aim to get to know each of my clients in order to understand their needs and ensure I am able to help them reach their goals.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In college I took some classes on photography and graphic design that really got me interested in doing more. I took more classes, taught myself a lot, practiced, learned from some failures, and continue to try to learn to provide better results for customers.
