Introduction: I started my solo practice, Lisa Martinez Attorney at Law PLLC, with a passion for defending others during what may seem like their darkest hour. I am a former prosecutor and law enforcement officer. So, I have seen all sides of the criminal justice system. My firm specializes in excellent service that includes transparency, accessibility, and persistent advocacy for your legal matters. This results in the best possible outcomes for clients. I am passionate about making every case personal and keeping your objectives in mind. I prefer quality over quantity. So, I don’t bombard myself with a large caseload just to make money. I am particular about the cases I take and ensure I can handle each one I do. I do not make promises to get your business. Be cautious about attorneys promising you dismissals and quick easy outcomes. Remember that cases involve a prosecutor, judge, and sometimes victims. So, it’s unethical and dead wrong to guarantee conclusions for clients up front. I am an advocate and defender through and through. I will advocate for you and your future with professionalism and persistence. Serious inquiries only please. Free phone consultations. Hourly charge for in-person consultation. Now taking Municipal Court and District Court Misdemeanor cases, including DUI, Assault, Domestic Violence, Theft, Trespassing, and Disorderly Conduct. Also provide legal document preparation, contract review, contract negotiations, mediation, and will drafting. I do not handle family law matters such as parenting plans, dissolution, etc.

My experience with Lisa Martinez has been comforting and reassuring, even after my case she still makes herself available and is attentive to all my needs. It was bumpy at first because I naturally was hesitant in trusting someone with what seemed like at the time, my life, but after putting all my trust in her everything fell into place. She was passionate about my case because it was similar to an experience that she had personally had. She never stoped fighting for me and got me the outcome I wanted dispite my worry’s and doubts and frustrations. She constantly gave me the reassurance I needed even when I was frustrated and difficult. She understands the hardships of minorities and the LGBT community which makes her one of a kind. I will never hire another attorney. I would HIGHLY reccomend her to anyone in need of great defense that goes above and beyond.

Lisa was accessible and dependable. She works every angle of a case and does not give up. I have worked with attorneys before that blew me off or never answered my questions. Lisa treats everyone with patience and respect.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

The prices vary depending on the facts of the case, the charges, and the phase the case is in. Pre-filing fees would be different than trial fees. A misdemeanor charge of trespassing would be less costly than a domestic violence assault charge. These things can be worked out over the consultation, where a more thorough review can take place.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Consultations can be completed in-person or over the phone. I understand that on top of tackling this legal matter, you have a life and loved ones to manage. After we talk, the retainer process is simple and can be done completely remote. So, you can hire me while on the go from your phone or laptop if in-person is too cumbersome. I can get started on your case right away!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Previous law enforcement experience as a deputy sheriff and police officer. Double bachelor degree from SMU in Human Rights and Psychology, with a minor in Philosophy. Law school degree (JD) from Arizona Summit. I had several internships, in which I practiced law under supervision. Previous prosecutor experience as a prosecutor for King County.
