Flow is a physical language, empowering us to lead and follow all styles of dance, interpret all styles of music, and dance in any scenario we choose. To flow, we train within the three relationships of dance (music, partner, & floor) - cultivating our own styles of dance.
Flow Studios was created as a result in the lack of understanding and education in how partner dancing really works. After researching and developing a curriculum, we now pride ourselves in teaching the basic principles in relating to the music, connecting and communicating with our partners, and combining simple movements to produce killer dance moves.
While teaching ballroom and social dance, I decided there must be a way to make dancing accessible and stimulating for everyone. The skills acquired from dance are too valuable not to make it so. My single focus has been to evolve dancing into a language that can be applied to everyone's choice of music, choice of partner, and choice of dancing scenario, thus opening the doors to all and making it as easy as possible to dance. This has led me to the creation of FLOW, a versatile dance structure that works for all music of today and tomorrow.

Clear instruction with good dance-competency results, done kindly and without intimidation or shaming (I'm awkward). Had a lot of fun. Many opportunities to practice, take (small) group classes, and dance socially for no additional expense - a better financial deal than places where there are only private lessons for the fee you pay. Right on a bus stop, or easy drive. Michael is upbeat and sincerely makes you feel good about what you're trying to do.

The moment I started to dance with Michael, I felt like I won the lottery...his strong lead and positive energy FLOWed through me. I felt safe and at the same time empowered to follow him as long as he wanted to lead me. Michael surpassed any other dance instructor I've ever encountered, because he went beyond teaching me steps and movements....he gave me an understanding of how to better carry myself for balance and strength. At the age of 65, it is important that I practice healthy habits for the rest of my adult life. Michael is a dream come true.
