Introduction: I am an experienced art Teacher who knows how to help all levels of aspiring students find their inner artist.
My gift is to be able to inspire my students with confidence in their abilities so that they have the desire to continue to develop their art.
I teach all visual art media.
My favorite part of my job is working with the people and helping them to discover that they can do art ! So many people are under the impression that one needs to be "talented" in order to achieve beautiful artwork. I find it immensely rewarding when I see the student's art skills develop and when they express confidence in developing artistic skills.

I've worked with Janet for 2 years one-on-one and I love it! I chose one-on-one because I had no art experience and was worried about judging myself against others. Janet provided a safe and encouraging environment where I found that I love art and I'm actually good at it!

I absolutely loved working with Janet. I am a fairly shy person, and though I have the passion to try new things, I rarely have the courage to do so. My first few lessons, where scary for me, I could barely muster up the courage put my paintbrush on the paper, because I was terrified of "doing it wrong", or making a mistake. But Janet was so kind and loving, and very very patient with me. After just a couple lessons with her, I really felt comfortable and at peace. I really can't say enough good things about her! She's wonderful.
