Reiki Healing

Introduction: Hello, my name is John Chate and I am a Reiki Master/Teacher. Reiki is a natural non-invasive healing system, working with the subtle energy system of the body providing gentle and supportive healing to the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of "self ". A Reiki treatment consists of a client (clothed) lying or sitting and receiving energy (that is channeled through the practitioner) via the practitioners hands. It is a system of healing that has been around for about a century but in the last decade,through scientific study, is gaining validity within the medical system. It is now widely used alone or as an important part of integrative health care, with practitioners working in hospitals and clinics alike. Scientific studies have supported that Reiki is beneficial for pain and anxiety in pre and post operation ; pain and anxiety relief in cancer patients ; depression ; impacting the autonomic nervous system (blood pressure, heart rate, breathing activity ); recovery of stroke victims ; improvements in PTSD sufferers and those with Alzheimers or AIDS/HIV. As well as this long list of scientifically proven applications I have seen Reiki help anyone who has chosen to receive or study it. I have over seven years experience working with Reiki, practicing internationally and seeing first hand the positive impact it makes to all who choose it. A treatment typically lasts about an hour and a series of treatments is most effective. I mainly receive clients at the Healing Tree in West Seattle but I will travel to you if you are unable to make the journey.
