Paul, and his wife Stephanie were wonderful to work with. They are very knowledgeable, and have a lot of experience catering. The menu Paul created for our Holiday Party was delicious, and the biggest foodies in my group were raving about the food. They provided everything, so all I had to worry about was the event space and getting everyone to the event. It was a wonderful event due to the fantastic food and service provided by Paul and his company. Thank you.
The Great Surprisal was hired to be our event coordinator as well as serving as our emcee. This is an annual dinner/fundraiser for a small non-profit. Amelia worked with us from the beginning finding a caterer, hiring musicians, working with venue, coordinating volunteers for our silent auction as well as other parts of our evening. We increased our net income by over 25%! We had used the venue before but with the creativity and cost conscious Great Surprisal we had a totally transformed 'gym' from years gone by. Past attendees commented on the greatly improved environment, excellent food and the overall sense of a better-planned event. We will work with The Great Surprisal again and encourage others to do so. Last year we worked with The Great Suprisal as an emcee only. Customers should definitely check out 'Gina' as an addition to a party or event. We are very pleased with The Great Surprisal's work ethic and creativity of working on a limited budget.

I contacted Evan to MC/DJ at a semi-formal wedding reception that my Husband and I were hosting. Most of the planning for the event was done only 3 weeks ahead of the even and infact I contacted Evan through Thumbtack only about 10 days before my event. He was very easy to work with and super communicative. We had a few back and forth emails where I described my expectations and then on the day of, I briefly explained the order of the afternoon. Everything went off without a glitch. He was so helpful because I hadn't had the time to send him a playlist earlier to prep and on the day of at the event, my cousins and friends gave him a playlist and he played them without any complaints!! A few of our friends complimented how professional he was.
Thumbtack provided excellent service for our recent fundraising event where we had around 160 attendees. The entire service was great and we did not have any issues. When I first sent an inquiry on Thumbtack, I got a prompt response from them. I was amazed at Marshanell's attention to detail. She asked a lot of good questions prior to the event to make sure she had all the information she needed. On the day of the event, the staff arrived well ahead of the agreed time. During the event, they took instructions very well and executed perfectly. From setting up the buffet table to clearing it out later, to clearing the used plates and glasses to rinsing and stacking them, they did it all without coming in the way of the guests and made the event look seamless! The staff was very courteous and hardworking. They had to stay longer than expected but they stayed till the end and made sure they completed everything they had signed up for. I highly recommend their services and I would definitely go back to them if I need event staff for any of my future events.
Shelby was simply amazing from the first day we met her all the way through our wedding day. She didn’t miss a beat and helped make sure our wedding day went off without a hitch. During the planning process, she did a great job keeping us sane when issues would arise, and calmly helped develop mitigation plans to keep things on track. Mardee's Design and Consulting helped me put together my office's holiday event and it could not have gone better! Mary worked tirelessly to make sure all the details were in place and that everything fit within my budget by the end. Charnell has been one of the greatest professions have ever met. She has utmost quality for work and was amazed the value a she provided and her dedication for the quote she provided. She exactly delivered what we thought of with great creativity.. She travelled to venue to study the concept and she did lot of work prior to the event. She has put in many extra hours for the marvelous look that she planned and gave lot of extra goodies for the kids in addition to what she committed. Strongly recommend for all the great parties.
Melody was so helpful in the planning of our florals and in the day of set up of our garland for our wedding! Everything looked wonderful and people keep telling us how much they loved our bouquets! My favorite part was the tiny pine cones she included in the groomsmen corsages!
I'm good at planning my own events but I wanted to be present for my daughters graduation party, as this event only comes once. I didn't want to worry about all the details like are the beverages and food being refilled, or even when the dog got out...she went and chased her down so we didn't have too. Angela was able to come in and take over so I was able to enjoy the day with all of our friends and family without having to worry about a thing. Outstanding job and will use her again!!
Cassie was amazing from the first email she sent to the last text congratulating me on my first day of marriage. She is well organized, prompt, incredibly knowledgable and truly cares. I found her on Thumbtack and hired as a day of coordinator and am SO glad I did! It's hard to say everything that she did because I know she probably handled way more things behind the scenes then I'm aware of, so I'll just say what I DIDN'T have to do. I didn't have come up with a to do list for the planning part of the wedding, I also didn't have to organize my own timeline for the actual wedding day. I didn't have to stress about the set up of the venue. I didn't have to worry about any of the vendors, when they would arrive, what they would do etc. I didn't have to figure out where I needed to be and when on the big day because Cassie would just pop up and say "In 10 min I'll grab you for ___, okay?" I didn't have to think about what would happen with everything at the venue after my husband and I left. I pretty much didn't have to worry about my wedding at all, I just had to enjoy it! I recommend Cassie to anyone, she is so sweet and made out wedding day go off without a hitch!
Bianca was exceptional to work with! She arrived extra early to our wedding, helped set up, beautifully directed and coordinated all venue staff, caterers, servers, guests, and oversaw everything! It's very hard to hand over control to someone and can trust they understand not only your high expectations but also, your vision down to every little detail and on such an important day. Bianca handled everything with such style, professionalism and grace... she made it so easy that I could focus on getting ready, knowing it was all under control. I would use her again for any event in a heartbeat! I highly recommend her to everyone. Thank you, Bianca for making our day extra Special and so seamless!
Amanda was great. I'm a single dad with not enough time or experience in appeasing a large crowd. For me, a large crowd was my family visiting from out of town sprinkled with the locals. We ended up having 12 show up and she was able to accommodate the "not quite known" number of people showing up with ease. Really freed me up to relax and enjoy a long anticipated reunion with the family while keeping the kids from destroying the house which would have happened if I had to attempt this all on my own.
Innovative events planned the most fabulous baby shower for me. From the decorations, the games and wonderful spread of food it was beyond what I ever could have imagined. Stephanie and Nikki were extremely personable and made every effort to work within my budget to throw the beautiful shower. They took care of all set-up/ clean up and made sure all the guests knew where to find parking, directions, etc. They are truly THE Dream Team. I will use them in the future for all of my special event planning needs.
Skully Serves is an amazing organization!!!!! I participated in an outreach at Ahead with Horses which focused on providing therapy to children with disabilities as they interacted with horses. Skully Serves focuses on giving back to the community and changing the lives of individuals. Martese did such an amazing job at leading the group and interacting with all volunteers. Martese provided us with guidance throughout the day. I was very impressed with how well organized the day went. I was excited to see the children's reaction to the horses!!!! I was provided with additional information about the organization and how I could volunteer in future outreach events! SKULLY SERVES ROCKS!!!
