I worked with Cyrus for about two months to prep for the SAT at UCLA. Awesome experience, my math skills (in context of what was needed for the SAT) improved greatly, and I can't wait to see how well my scores dictate that improvement!

He helped me with my LSAT and my son with SAT concurrently. He was very knowledgeable, very efficient and best of all he seriously poured out all the techniques and tools needed for us to get through this successfully. Great motivator! If I had chosen him to tutor my son as a mother, that shows how much I give credibility of his performance. I will gladly rehire him for my younger daughter for her SAT in the future!

Cyrus was a great tutor! I used him for some last minute ACT tutoring over the summer. Off of the bat I had told him the sections I wanted to focus on and he was very compatible and amenable to my needs. He always had great practice problems prepared for our sessions and he used a variety of sources to increase subject coverage. Additionally, he made sure to answer any questions that I had from outside work. Furthermore, I required a complicated tutoring arrangement (including both in-person meetings and Skype sessions). Cyrus was able to do both amazingly and was very flexible in terms of session times and rescheduling. I really do believed that working with Cyrus paid off as I not only achieved my target score, but I also raised all of my sub-scores by multiple points! If you need a tutor that is able to cover exactly what you want and help you as quickly as possible, Cyrus is the person for you!

In preparation for the LSAT, I've taken a Blueprint course, done tutoring with a highly rated, expensive tutor for four months, but at the end of the day, if I had to choose a tutor, it would be Cyrus. He communicates concisely and clearly, making the learning process easier. And during the sessions, he writes down all the tips and suggestions he makes on Google docs, available to you at all times to review. I've suggested him to all my friends studying for the LSAT and I don't doubt his skills are as great in the other fields of study in which he tutors.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

LSAT, SAT, ACT, Legal course work

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Hands down the biggest factor that determines whether a tutoring session is successful or not is the ability for the tutor to effectively communicate the material to the student. Each person learns and interprets material in a unique way, and I consider it my number one goal to present the information in a way that you understand, rather than simply reciting the information to you.
