Introduction: My lessons are student centered and goal oriented. Whether you seek to develop your skills as a music professional or you are simply interested in studying music for personal enrichment, I can develop a course of study that's right for you. Lessons can also be structured around a particular project such as putting an album together, preparing for a recital or audition, or exploring a particular topic, genre, or style of music. As part of my general teaching philosophy I strive to help every student reach his or her creative potential by developing a strong command of music fundamentals, sight-reading and ear-trainng skills, improvisation, and ensemble playing techniques. I believe that no one has a monopoly on music's truths and that through the development and exploration of the individual creative impulse, everyone has the capacity to make a valuable musical contribution.
