I've had about 6 lessons with Mary on guitar and have thoroughly enjoyed them. She has a great eye for details in technique thats very important in a guitar teacher to keep you on track. I also like the way she builds the skills on top of each other while not trying to do this be repeating the same song until perfect. This is an excellent way to keep the student engaged while building the technique that will be needed. I also like that she is not locked in to a particular dogma. For example, I'm a pretty large person and we needed to adjust my posture from the standard classical guitar posture. She was able to articulate the general principles that one wants to achieve in their posture and use those principles to help me find a posture that works for my body type. In summary. I would gladly recommend Mary to friends wanting to learn classical guitar.
Ed is talent and wonderful instructor. My son enjoys and looks forward to his guitar lessons with Ed. It's been easy to schedule lessons and Ed's responsiveness to all emails is quick and commendable.
I always wanted to learn to play guitar, and tried several times to teach myself without success. The idea of taking guitar lessons was super intimidating to me, but I decided to give it a shot, and I'm so glad I did. Ryan is an amazing instructor. His passion for teaching is obvious, and I feel like I learned so much from him in a short amount of time. He addresses all the things any new player faces such as a lack of confidence and bad habits. Right away I felt comfortable and encouraged, and I looked forward to lessons every week. The lessons motivated me to want to practice and work through everything I was learning, and they were always fun. Ryan has a great sense of humor and a knack for using pizza metaphors to explain music theory :) I can't say enough great things about my experience, and I encourage anyone considering lessons with Ryan to definitely go for it. You won't be disappointed.
Started guitar lessons a couple of months ago and couldn't be happier. I was self taught and played by ear. Didn't feel I had time for lessons. But, I was missing a lot of the fundamentals. The lessons have started to fill in the gaps and I'm learning a lot faster than before. I wish I started these lessons a couple of years ago. And way too easy taking these lessons at my place. Highly recommended!
I really enjoy music lessons with Jacob, I've had several teachers and he is by far the easiest to work with and to learn from. He's a great guitar player and keeps the lessons fun, he also does a good job at making sure that what I'm practicing has something to do with what I'm interested in. I've had teachers in the past that did not make guitar interesting, Jacob is great, well worth the money! I'm much better than I was before I started with him.
Ken is nice and responded very fast to my questions, I purchased guitar lessons for my son birthday, and he was very professional about it.
Taking guitar lessons with Matt was a great experience. He had extraordinary patience with me as I slowly learned, and had great advice to encourage me through the process. Matt recognized when I wasnt grasping a concept, and used creative strategies to help me along. He is a very talented guitar player, and just as great of a teacher. I would highly recommend him.
Absolutely amazing! I am a total beginner but he instills confidence and makes everything seem so easy and doable! I'm so very happy to have connected with him and I don't hesitate to recommend him to anyone thinking about taking piano lessons! I'm learning and really enjoying this!
JD Dorland Music has been a fantastic experience. I chose to start Piano Lessons in the middle of December which is already a very busy month and JD was very accommodating with dates and times. I am an adult with no experience in playing the Piano or reading music and my first lesson was a great experience. He is incredibly friendly and the environment was laid back and welcoming. JD provided me with the tools necessary to succeed outside of my lesson with a combination of book and online work. I truly felt like he set me up to be successful. You will not be disappointed by JD Dorland Music.
I've been taking piano lessons from Amber for about 6 months. She has been great at teaching and provides knowledge and resources to help me learn.
My daughter has only had two lessons with Aaron, so I do not have a long term relationship to base my review on. However, I can say that Aaron was very prompt at returning my emails and phone calls . Very professional in how he approached making financial arrangements and scheduling our lessons. He provided references for me to check with. He offered a complementary initial lesson. And perhaps most important, when I pick up my daughter from her lesson she has a smile on her face and says Aaron is very nice.
Aaron is very talented. He has a pleasant personality and is very understanding. He is very easy to communicate with. He makes sure that you really get it. He is both professional and easygoing. He is great at seeing his students’ talents and at helping develop these talents. I would definitely recommend Aaron to any students looking to improve their voice, guitar skills, piano skills, or composing skills. He is also a terrific producer! He is amazing at translating ideas into music.
I started piano lessons with Luke some two months ago, as my fifth tutor in about 8 years of private lessons. As soon as our first lesson, I was impressed by Luke's sense of observation and musicality. He would identify motions I wasn't doing properly or passages I could play more expressively and gave clear advice on how to practice and improve - way better than previous tutors I've had. He also teaches interpretation, improvisation and theory - and not just the basic solfege - so we don't end up silo'ed on strictly classical, or strictly jazz music. He's very sympathetic and, in a word, a great teacher. I think I have a lot to learn from him.
I have parent some much from Sami. Has taught me how to sing higer and also how to really use my voice and not sing with such a nasel tone . He has gave me a lot of knowledge about the guitar like how riffs are written. Overall he's help me become a better artist and if i could i would give him more then 5
Started taking singing lessons with Maddy as a complete beginner. She's been so kind, patient, and supportive and is wonderful about explaining how the voice works. I highly recommend her!!
Took guitar and voice lessons with Skyler, I learned an incredible amount in a short time. He definitely knows his stuff and comes to lessons with a lot of enthusiasm and passion.
Our 10 year daughter has been under Shireen's tutelage for almost two years, and is already becoming a fine pianist. She is also turning into a very good vocalist! Shireen has never been anything but positive, helpful, and understanding. She is always very thoughtful in the way she teaches. She explains everything, and why it is important, making it easy for the child to understand WHY. She expects the same courtesy, punctuality, and attendance from her students, that she herself gives 100% of the time. We couldn't be happier with the choice we have made for our daughter's piano and voice lessons. Highly recommend!!
Ben's been great at getting me over my trepidation with learning guitar. After my fourth lesson I've been able to pick up the basics. He's patient, helpful, good humored, and inspires me to keep going. Thanks, Ben.
Diana is a wonderful teacher, mentor, and business owner of The Fleming School of Music. She has the skills & understanding to really be in tune with her piano students. Diana's staff is also great; we now have all 3 of our children enrolled in the school. For the last 4 years, we have been happily bringing our kids to their piano lessons, and we always look forward to the Winter and Spring recitals during the school year! My family has full confidence in the Fleming School of Music to give our kids the tools to be successful students of music!
Benjamin has been wonderful to work with. Our child had been taking lessons with another instructor for a few months and was not progressing much. The other instructor, though well intentioned, was trying to teach multiple things at a time, which would probably have been helpful had our child had some prior guitar experience. Being that that was not the case and we were starting from scratch, it was more overwhelming than anything and resulted in little being absorbed by our child. Benjamin is very kind, patient, and understanding. He works really well with our child and makes things very relaxed and easy to understand. Our child learned one complete song after only one lesson!!! That had been our goal as after several months of lessons with our first instructor, our child unfortunately had not learned to play even one. It is so important to find the right type of teacher as our older child had a decline in patience and confidence due to being in the same lessons with the previous instructor (and wanted to quit). Now after seeing our younger child progress and actually enjoy the lessons with Benjamin, our older child is now expressing interest again in taking guitar lessons. Most things are not easy in the beginning and with the proper teaching and mentoring, along with a good attitude and self discipline, we can accomplish a lot more than perhaps we initially imagined. We think Bemjamin is very well versed in guitar and is an awesome teacher. We are very grateful for his help and his approach and style to teaching as he is a real confidence booster.
He is really patient and explaining everything quite explicitly. The materials used are very beneficial l as it contains really good music theories and helps strengthen fingers , but the songs in the materials are not so interesting.
