What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We will schedule a convenient time to meet with you after initial contact. We would like to hear your ideas, see any clippings, photographs, or any other materials you may have gathered that would be representative of the work that you may have in mind.
We will conduct a complete evaluation of your project needs, getting a clear understanding of what you want, so that in the end, you are satisfied with the result.
You will be given recommendations on what type of work is needed and the steps to complete the work. You will be shown a range of available materials from leading manufacturers that fit your budget.
Based on the materials you select, you will receive a FREE comprehensive written estimate that spells out all the details involved no surprises later.
Upon Job completion and quality inspection, your final approval is needed before we accept payment. Your satisfaction is absolutely guaranteed!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 3 generations of family involved in construction. Starting in 1975 I've done work with my grandfather and father. I've been a busy licensed general contractor doing handyman work since 1991.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
My rates are $45 to $75 an hour. Drywall and painting is $55an hour. Carpentry and Major Remodels are $65 an hour. Electrical and plumbing is $75 an hour. All hourly rates are per person on the job.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Passed down from generation to generation. Starting in 1975 with my father and grandfather and now it's being passed down to my son, hence the name, IP & Sons Handyman Services.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with customers of all walks of life. From high school education to phD education. I enjoy meeting all types of people through Thumbtack.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I've just did a whole house interior rehab for a 3,000 square feet house. I've been patching and repairing walls, texturing and painting them. This project took a week and a half.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always ask for references and their experience with consumer affairs.

Do they care about the quality of their work?
