FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each project is different, so I offer custom design packages that are unique tailored to each client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a member or the Northwest Society of Interior Designers (NWSID). I participate in industry events, classes, tours, etc. to stay connected with the newest and the greatest. Seattle Design Festival happens every September. Third Thursday at the Seattle Design Center is a great way to see new art and explore some of the showrooms. During the day there are product knowledge meetings at the showrooms too. I enjoy visiting independent furniture makers and craft suppliers. We are so lucky to be in a city that is overflowing with creativity. I feel design happens at all levels. Great design happens when all the elements have been analyzed and attention is given to the installation details, as well as the materials/products/etc. chosen. Folks tend to focus on the product and forget that the installation is a major factor in the success of that product.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was studying business in college. My sophomore year I declared a new major. I continued my studies at the Art Institute of Seattle. It was that simple. I've never looked back. Design has infiltrated my life. My free time is spent with my nose in design magazines or on architectural tours, participating in design functions, etc.
