Leisa gave me excellent guidance on my sewing project. She showed me how to do it, explained why and then made sure I understood so I could do it. I am delighted with the final product and plan to set up another lesson soon to make a different dress. Leisa was patient, easy going and supportive. I happily recommend her for lessons and feel very lucky to have found her to teach me sewing.
I am a small home-based business owner who has relocated to Langley, WA in hopes of starting my own design studio. I like to take the time to help people learn about textiles, crafts, and weaving and create items that they are searching for. Being unique is a definite focus of mine. I also like to see when someone has the opportunity to learn about textile designs to create artistic expressions of their inner mind's eye. The possible is learned, becomes known, and enjoyed by all who get to see it. I can make hats, sweaters, blankets, or home textiles that are used in the clients environment or home or can be shared with others. I started knitting as a Rotary Exchange student in New Zealand since the summer of 1983. Using a variety of textiles and fibers, each idea is taken to its next destination by creative spirit, use of design, and the actual construction of the item needed by the client. I can teach basic knitting, advanced techniques, and also use machines that are part of the textile trade to speed up the learning processes that I can pass on to others.
I'm a knitting instructor with over 10 years of professional experience. I can help you improve your knitting and develop your skills.
