Taking music lessons as an adult, i largely expected to feel the way i did taking lessons as a child. I never would have expected to learn everything from basic theory and technique to being able to compose pieces for multiple instruments within a month. Scott's approach is professional and relatable which is rare in a music teacher of his pedigree. I'am afforded an opportunity to grow as a complete musician with his ability to take daunting musical concepts and make them immediately understandable to a layman. I really do believe that whatever your musical goals are, he is a more than capable teacher. Its also worth noting that whenever i have had any questions throughout the week, he has taken the time to respond at length.
Ms. Jan is so sweet and very enthusiastic about teaching piano. I can really see her love for music. I am learning at a better pace than I thought I would so she must be doing something right ^_^ I cannot wait to continue improving my piano skills with Ms. Jan!
Have worked with Bryan since 1995 musically, collaborating in bands and in the studio full time. He is not only an amazing musician, teacher, studio producer/engineer, but and amazing guy. Easy to work with, always knows how to get you the results. Even so, finding the results you thought never existed and improving the outcome tremendously. I would definately recommend Bryan if your looking to better your musicianship and learn something new everytime you meet. I always do! Rock on B!
Looking to learn how to play the drums with no experience at all, or want to Increase your drumming skills. Look no further. You found him. Chris Korzin Is the most amazing individual I have ever met. I have been taking lessons from Chris on and off Almost a decade now. His skills for teaching, Reading music, Playing drums, Preforming for a live audience, or just having fun playin some beats. He covers it all! My very first lesson, Within minutes I knew I made the right choice. I knew nothing about drums, By the time I was done with that lesson I knew the general aspects of drums, and Technique of some cool beats. Chris makes every lesson fun. I always look forward to the next lesson. The challenges I have, he helps me overcome them within minutes. Now I'm in a band and I contribute all my success to Chris Korzin. Chris is very respected in the drumming community. His band "just dirt" Plays all over the Northwest. He has also done many side projects. Some of the biggest names in the music community Has asked him to fill in as a drummer. He has played in several different states and even in a different country. I have recommended him In the past, And have had Total positive outcome. He has the knowledge and the tools for you to become A great drummer.
My piano teacher is great, scheduling my lessons was super easy and I cant believe it but Im actually reading music. Having Music lessons in my home is very easy
In my beginning down the (long road) of learning how to play the banjo, Jonny has been patient, encouraging, accommodating to my schedule and budget, and - most importantly - clearly has an honest passion for music and teaching. I feel like I hit the banjo teacher jackpot!
Ken is a fantastic teacher with tons of experience and a great attitude. I've been learning guitar from him for many years, and hope to continue for years to come! Whether you're a complete beginner (as I was) or a seasoned player interested in learning more music theory or refining your technique, he's a great coach and always has interesting lesson material. The lesson space is comfortable and you'll be treated to professional quality sound during your lessons.
Ms. Elaine did an initial "interview" with my 6 year old daughter, who had been having lessons when her teacher decided to go back to a 9-5 job. Elaine reviewed the old books my daughter was using, which luckily she uses too, to see what her level of understanding from her previous lessons was. She used some super fun and cute toys and tablet apps to test her. So far my daughter's lessons are going well. She really loves the various incentives that Elaine uses. She gets very excited to stamp her pages when she's completed one. She loves to practice everyday to earn more stamps each week. Elaine was very accommodating to help fit us in her schedule and gave us options to find what worked for us. Her prices are really good and about the same average as other teachers in this area. I would recommend Ms. Elaine to anyone looking for lessons for their children, especially their beginners.
I really enjoy music lessons with Jacob, I've had several teachers and he is by far the easiest to work with and to learn from. He's a great guitar player and keeps the lessons fun, he also does a good job at making sure that what I'm practicing has something to do with what I'm interested in. I've had teachers in the past that did not make guitar interesting, Jacob is great, well worth the money! I'm much better than I was before I started with him.
Our experience at Studio Savage has been fabulous. My daughter asked me for violin lessons and we couldn't find a better match. Theresa is very patient and explains very well to my daughter what she need to practice during the week. The lessons are good and fun, some times lessons involve games than after a few weeks transform into songs on the violin. Also, my daughter is catching fast on notes and reading music while she plays. Most important, my daughter is still exited about the violins, I am happy because she is doing progress, and we both love the teacher.
Scott was a professor of mine at the Evergreen State College, and then I went on to take private voice lessons with him. I've had numerous voice teachers in my life and Scott is definitely by far one of the best. Besides being inspiring and super fun to be around, Scott is incredibly knowledgable about the anatomy and mechanics of the human voice, so you can be sure that under his guidance you won't damage your instrument (this has always been a concern of mine because my grandmother was an opera singer who got a vocal surgery which ruined her voice). Whatever you're looking to work on, be it more technical or more performance-based, Scott can definitely help you get there. Simply put: he's great, he knows his stuff, and I highly recommend him as a teacher and mentor.
Ms Laleh is a great piano teacher. She has a very nice personality. she is very patient with her students. My 4 year old daughter takes private piano lessons with her,she absolutely enjoys her classes. she is experienced in teaching young kids and I highly recommend her.
She has responded quickly every time I’ve reached out, and has been flexible when we needed to move our appointment once. My daughter really likes her. I like the way she talks to my daughter and you can tell she is really passionate about music. She has taylored my daughter’s lessons in response to things she notices my daughter struggling with and there has been a good balance of technique and theory.
Aaron is a great teacher. He explains the theory well, provides good feedback for improvement. He encourages practice outside the class providing multiple resources to facilitate this. He is also flexible in accommodating various types of teaching, going step by step vs learning through a song.
Almost twenty years ago, I stopped singing. I’m not sure why really, but other hobby passions took priority, and recently, I found myself yearning to be part of a community effort at ensemble singing. I realized with the prospect of auditioning that I felt completely unprepared for this task, having been away from singing for so long, so I took to Thumbtack in search of a voice coach/teacher to get me back on track. My search quickly found me in the music studio of Chris McCafferty. (Read previous statement as “I was lost, and now I’m found”). I couldn’t possibly be more pleased with Chris and his teaching style. He offers the optimal combination of encouragement and support, along with practical truths about my areas for improvement in relatable ways that I can understand, with a communication style that is both kind and actionable. In addition to expressing an exceptional teaching style, Chris is an amazing human being, and his goodness radiates from him. If you’re looking for a voice teacher, regardless of your skill level or age, you owe it to yourself to pay a visit to Chris, and see for yourself how much he can enrich and progress your vocal technique.
Sergey is a very patient, knowledgeable teacher who's passion for music and teaching makes for a great learning experience. He is great at tailoring his lessons to the needs and abilities of his students, so you feel challenged but not overwhelmed. Highly recommended.
My 7 year old daughter has been taking lessons from Heather for the better part of a year, and has made huge progress. Heather provides challenge and structure, and my daughter has learned a lot. Especially noteable is how fluent my daughter now is in sight-reading music -- kudos to Heather. I highly recommend her!
Aaron imbues his lessons with compassion, inspiration, and spontaneity. He's really like no other music teacher I've ever had.
she taught my daughter: 4 years old. she not only drew my daughter's attention and interests on piano but also taught them in a very different way. I've never seen that my daughter wanted to go to the piano lesson and talked a lot about what she learned. she was very excited to learn piano and music. we can't find any of her replacement. we were very lucky to have her for my daughter.
Daniel was professional, engaging with our five year-old, and plays the piano with heart-stopping beauty. As a pianist and parent, I am absolutely delighted to have found Daniel to teach my son how to appreciate the profound and moving music of the piano. He is a musician and teacher of the highest caliber.
Teresa is really sweet, and helpful. She is very supportive when it comes to bettering my voice, and she has a lot of great warm ups and techniques. She lets you pick the songs that you want to work on (my last singing teacher made me sing songs that weren't my style), which is awesome too!
