    Stacey helped me train for my first half marathon. She made it approachable and not overwhelming. She was always there for me when I had questions outside our scheduled practice times. She's upbeat, encouraging and she has lots of advice to give.

    Stacey is absolutely the best. She is dedicated, honest, cheerful, warm, compassionate, and truly "there" for you. Even in your slumps of life, of health, of activity, she's still there. I'm currently in a slump and she's still there. We've checked in. I've been thrown some curveballs that have prevented/are preventing from seeing her professionaly. If/when I can come back, I will be. She's also the very first trainer that has taken it upon herself to learn more about my disability to make working out beneficial and not painful (in the bad, ouch, no) kinda way and has pushed me and been with me as I work through the "break-through" pain. So, fellow gimpy friends, if you're in Seattle and lookin' for someone to work with you and not get all ableist on ya, she's it! Absolutely! Her laugh is the best, her ability to play... while workin' out is just great. Working out and play aren't easy for me to combine...yet, with her...I was learning to. I'll stop now because if I don't, this review will never end. Bottom line: Give yourself your life back, with giving Stacey a shot. So worth it!

    The day Stacey started holding me accountable not only in the gym but in my day to day life.That was about 7 years ago. It all started with a joining and actually going to the gym. Best gym buddy ever! Even after moving home to AZ she was still my daily motivation to hit the gym and eat right. So if your looking for a trainer who is more invested in your success than your money Stacey is the way to go. All you need to do is show up and have fun.

    "You are the greatest." Stacey Sorgen And she means it any and every time she says it. She will not push you nor pull to your goal. She will inspire you to it. Stacey is the happiest, most driven and least judgmental trainer I have met.

    Stacey has been my trainer for many years and I wouldn't have it any other way. She is amazing as a person and as a trainer. She knows how to push you hard, like when I was training for a triathlon, and she also knows how to work with/around limitations, like after I was in a car accident. She can work with anyone. And make them feel good about themselves. She is a one of a kind trainer that gives the whole package. She taught me about healthy eating, having a positive mindset and got my booty in shape. If you want someone who actually CARES and not a big box experiencen this is the gal for you.

I've worked with several trainers throughout my fitness journey, and none have displayed the care, thoughtfulness and passion that Stacey brings to her clients. She's excels at ensuring excellent form, offering modifications for various fitness levels, and clear instruction. But above all, she provides her clients with the encouragement that they can not only master the exercise they're currently performing, but meet their long term fitness goals.

    Stacey Sorgen has changed my life. I first started seeing Stacey in and it is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I wanted to get into shape for a wedding in August. Stacey met me where I was at. I was really nervous to see a trainer. In my first session as we were getting to know each other and she was assessing my fitness level, I was embarrassed that I had to stop and take a break. Stacey didn't care and made me feel completely comfortable. She talked to me about how everyone has to start somewhere and that no person is the same. Stacey's view on health and wellness is holistic. When I originally started seeing her, I was looking 'to get in shape.' However, I've since learned the importance of taking care of my mental, emotional and physical wellness. Stacey taught me that they all go hand in hand. Stacey approaches each of her clients individually. I have had the opportunity to meet several of her clients through attending bootcamp classes and participating in the quarterly wellness challenges. We are all in different places and we all need Stacey for different reasons - watching her work with us as a group is heartwarming and encouraging. Training with Stacey is my favorite part of my day. There are days when I feel like chatting, there are days when I feel like complaining and there are days when I just need my booty kicked. Stacey meets me where I am every day and pushes me just the right amount. I honestly believe that everyone could benefit from personal training. It is one hour to focus on you. Watching my body change, feeling myself get stronger and feeling generally better every single day is something that I wish that everyone could experience.     I have been working with Stacey for about a month now and she is fantastic. I'm quite out of shape and so have needed to start things off slowly but she's been quite supportive of my pace while continually pushing me to improve.     I'm a 67-year old recovering from several surgeries. Stacey tailors my workouts precisely to my needs, being very careful that none of the exercise causes pain. We older gals appreciate that! Stacey is very knowledgeable about many kinds of fitness programs. She has a kind, caring attitude and a great sense of humor. I actually look forward to my workouts. I believe that anyone, regardless of their fitness level, will benefit from working out with Stacey.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I worked in GI Oncology and saw the horrible mortality rate. I also acknowledged that so many individuals who presented for advanced treatment of cancer were unable to receive needed medications and chemotherapy due to secondary ailments, such as Type 2 diabetes, Syndrome X, sleep apnea, etc. This population is still near and dear to my heart, in fact, I raised $10,000 for cancer research and treatment last year. My goal is to people live healthy, strong lives, starting as early as possible. If I could help just one person PREVENT disease, that would be my greatest wish and why I chose this career.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The majority of the time, I provide one-on-one personal training for clients, but I also teach semi-private personal training sessions. I speak at conventions, teach seminars on fitness, hold specialty classes and training sessions, and I strive to create community and support around healthy living.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My best advice for a customer looking to hire a personal trainer, is to inquire about ongoing education. Staying current, keeping up with recent research and data, and keeping on top of your field means continued education and a commitment to personal growth. A good personal trainer is always reading, researching, learning, and growing to offer you the very best.
