"Transform" is the perfect word to describe what happens at Transform 180 Training. I started training 2 months before my 50th birthday as an investment in myself; and now at 50 I feel 40 at oldest! Charith designed a program that was both challenging and motivating - and has been the perfect balance of "gentle nudge" vs "what the heck are you doing and is that really working for you" that I needed in terms of nutrition, life-balance, and training.I hadn't worked out for years when I started; and I felt comfortable, welcomed, and convicted - all at the same time...exactly what you need when you want to get serious about health.I have seen every trainer at Transform 180 exhibit knowledge, encouragement, and motivation for clients toward their own potential. This place is unbelievable. After seeing my recent pic, my friend thought I used some photo app to look slimmer and reacted like Hey, is that really you? You have done something to your body!. Yeah, I did something! Its simply the result of training at Transform180. Thats when I realized and thanked myself for choosing this place. Two months back when I started training with Charith, I had no clue what fitness was all about. Only with in few days into the training, I started to understand what exercise can do to you. I feel more energetic and stronger than ever. Now I watch what I eat. I kept all processed foods away from my diet. I try not to miss my cardio during other days of the week. Altogether my fitness perception and regime has changed, I dont think I will ever stay away from exercising. Most importantly Charith has a positive vibe which resonates with his clients. If you are looking for a fitness program and serious about transforming your body, this is the place!

Oddly 60 days back, me and my friend had this conversation about revamping our lives and getting into shape. The very same day we found this awesome groupon deal for transform 180 and instantly decided to take it. It turned to be one of the best decisions that we made this summer. To describe about myself, I am someone who was never serious about gym and had little to zero knowledge about weights up until Charith entered the picture. Day 1, I was almost about to faint and was literally crying to do weights of 5lbs. I was lying on the floor like a lizard when asked to do planks and could barely move to do push ups. I realized how out of shape I was that day. The next 10 weeks of personal training with Charith transformed my fitness regime completely. The best thing about Charith is that he never lets you give up and he pushes you to your maximum. He taught me how important it is to know what you eat and how portion control can make a huge difference to your diet. Today, I do barbell squats, lunges, shoulder press with lesser strain. I am stronger and active than ever before. This whole experience has elevated my confidence level and has changed my perspective about fitness. There is no going back now and I am glad I did the right thing by joining transform 180.

I have been training at Transform 180 for about 3 months, and I absolutely love it here! After injuring my rotator cuff working out on my own, I was hesitant to get back into the gym because I had lost so much strength, endurance and motivation, and I was afraid of re-injuring it. But, with a wedding looming, I knew I needed help getting back into a sustainable exercise routine to look and feel my best. I worked with Kyla and Charith to strengthen the muscles in my shoulder and back and felt comfortable and cared for the whole time. Both were careful to check in with me before and after each workout and make sure I was making safe, pain-free progress. Now, I lift more than I ever did before the injury! What I love most about Transform 180 is that the workouts are mentally and physically challenging but I always feel successful. I do a variety of exercises each time I go, and there's almost always something I complete that leaves me excitedly saying "I can't believe I just did that!" It shows in my body because I have better muscle tone and increased endurance. I am also more motivated to eat healthier and get in cardio workouts on my off days since I'm seeing and feeling great results. Finally, the environment at Transform 180 is amazing; when I am in the middle of a tough lift or HIIT routine and catch the eye of another trainer or client, there's an unspoken "You've got this!" to help me move on. All of the trainers are simply wonderful. I've trained with several of them (Charith, Kyla, Ian, Colin, Ivy) and each one brings something awesome and a little different. I know they truly want to see me perform at my best. I'm pleased with my results so far and look forward to pushing myself to be stronger in the future. If you are looking for a supportive environment to improve your health and feel better about your body, Transform 180 is the place to do it!

I've been training with Colin at Transform 180 for almost nine months now and really should have reviewed them earlier. Weight training has truly been life changing for me and I could not have done it without them.I was a really book smart kid, but had absolutely no physical aptitude and I had written it all off as things I would never do. But moving to Seattle meant changing to a walking lifestyle, particularly walking by a lot of gyms. After staring at the Transform 180 ad in my building's elevator for enough weeks, I decided to stop waiting for some arbitrary "fit enough to try" point and went next door to sign up.It has been really tough work. Part of that "no physical aptitude" thing is I'm not very coordinated and I have hurt myself a few times over the course of training. But every time, Colin has been understanding and supportive and NOT LET ME GIVE UP. We work different areas, work on getting stronger (so my ankles won't just slip out from under me haha) but safely, at the pace my body sets. If I had been on my own, I wouldn't have stuck with it. If I had been focused just on weight loss, I would've probably given up by now too, as that's a long road.Instead, weight training gives me goals I feel I have more control over than the scale, going up in weight limits and being able to run more miles when I do cardio (because going to weight training has gotten me to use my in-building gym on off days a lot more too!) It has been amazing for my mental well-being too. Sometimes there are bad days in the gym, but I'll get to try again next time. Sometimes there are great days in the gym, but guess what, still gonna have to do it again next time! I've become more aware and confident of what my body can do.The entire atmosphere of this gym is incredibly positive. I feel like everyone there wants you to do well at whatever goal you want and there's no pushiness, no judgement about where ever you are at in fitness right now. Even if I'm having a terrible day, I know the hour I spend in there will be a chance to get away from that stress and focus on doing something for me. It's been worth every penny (by now I've switched to the largest "bulk" pack of sessions, because I really don't see stopping now) and it's a life long investment in my body working its best.
