FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It wasn't a decision, I was born into a world of constantly being around animals. I've always had an affinity for them and I couldn't see myself doing any other type of job. My goal is to become a veterinarian for exotic pets, such as chinchillas, genets, savannah cats, wolf hybrids, and more.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My main customers are business people who have to fly away for 3-5 days sporadically and need someone to make sure their kitty is fed and their litter box clean or need their small dogs watched until they get back. I do some odd jobs too, like handling baby rats so they become use to people or brushing the undercoat of horses.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you have the dog walker meet and do a preliminary consultation with your dog, and watch how they act with the dog or how the dog responds. If your dog doesn't respond well, take it as a sign or maybe try again another day. This is the person who will be spending a significant amount of time with him, make sure he's comfortable with that.
