Introduction: Ironically, I'm a lifelong cat lover, my parents weren't pet people so we were lucky to get a series of cats. Fortuitously for me, I took a job during the Great Recession as a housekeeper for a family of dog lovers and it didn’t take long to fall in love with them. Those dogs became the inspiration for this business. Since 2009. I've been pet sitting and dog walking in SE Seattle neighborhoods. In order to offer a broader range of services I mentored under a retired Vet Tech and have administered insulin injections, subq fluids, tube feedings, pills, ear and eye meds.I'm insured through Pet Sitters Associates LLC as well as Rover and I’m certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. I provide neighborhood solo leash walks for dogs, drop-in visits for cats and dogs and overnight pet sitting in Madison Park, Madrona, Seward Park, Columbia City, Lakewood, Mt. Baker & Leschi. I've walked a variety of dogs from puppies to seniors, small to large. There have been mellow ones, athletic ones, insane retrievers, tireless swimmers, meticulous sniffers and one year old rescue puppy so anxious outside, we thought he'd never been taken out or socialized but was all personality indoors. I adjust their activity to meet the needs of the dog and their owners. I've worked with a wide variety of cats too, from kittens to ancient seniors, from shy homebodies to avid hunters and bouncing-off-the-walls juveniles and I've loved them all.

Karen is awesome! I can't say enough great things about Seattle Tails Dog Walking & Pet Sitting Service. As my dog ages, I look for ways to make his life more comfortable, and having a daily walk with Karen is a huge part of it. Mason is 14 now and in pretty good health, but a mid-day break for him is so helpful for a chance to get outside and have some socialization. Karen is caring and attentive with him, and he enjoys his play time with her. She's offered many great and helpful suggestions for ways to keep his appetite and energy up as he gets older. I'd highly recommend her to anyone looking for professional and caring in-home pet services.

I was out of town, but my gal, Susan, reported excellent service from Karen, the dogs were excited to see her each morning, and we will definitely be using her services again in the future.

Karen has been a godsend for the last 2+ years. Always flexible, even covering rather last minute to accommodate my work travel schedule. She’s also been very patient building a relationship with my 2 rather shy cats—and has won both of them over 🙂 plus she sends me pics while I’m out of town so I can see the Girls!

Karen has been my daily dog walker for more than a year now and also takes care of my dog, cat and chickens whenever I'm traveling, which is often. She is completely dependable and totally trustworthy. Most importantly, she truly cares about the well-being of my animals and goes out of her way to take care of them -- taking the dog on special expeditions, bringing new treats to my cat, and even coming up with suggestions for how to maintain the cleanliness of the chicken coop. I cannot recommend her more highly.
