Introduction: hello, My name is Tatyana. I’m a certified piano teacher I teach classical piano and music theory. I have 20 + years of experience. I teach RCM music development program. In addition to teaching students to read music and play beautifully, I encourage improvisation, playing by ear, and learning to trust one’s own musical creativity. I love working with students of all ages—children to adults. My own music training started young with piano lessons starting at age 6. I’ve never stopped learning! My number one goal is for students to learn to LOVE music and to see piano lessons as a creative form of expression— not a chore or a part of a to-do list. Every person’s piano learning style is like a finger print with their own unique set of characteristics. I enjoy bringing out the best in each person’s piano learning style, while instilling confidence and inspiration Every student needs something different and unique from their teacher in order to thrive, grow, learn, and remain inspired. I enjoy getting to know the learning style of each individual, and catering my teaching methods and repertoire choices to fit what they need. I teach both classical and contemporary piano in a variety of styles and genres. Lessons are catered to each individual student’s comfort zone and goals. Piano students learn basic music theory, establish healthy practice habits, and gain overall confidence in their abilities through study and performance. I believe that teaching music is about inspiring and encouraging the student. What makes a student successful or talented is enthusiasm, interest, curiosity, passion, patience, diligence and dedication. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me. Hope to talk to you soon. Thank you TatyanaWright

Tatyana has been an excellent piano teacher for both of my girls. My eleven-year-old appreciates her precision and warmth, and loves the the rigor of the Royal Conservatory program that Tatyana teaches. In less than one year, she has completed Level 2 of the program and is happily working away on Level 3. Tatyana is equally skilled at working with my super-high-energy six-year-old, who was new to piano when she started last October, and has since completed Prep Level A and started work on Prep B. I should also say that Tatyana has been very flexible and accommodating in terms of scheduling lessons for my girls around our needs, and that she transitioned seamlessly from teaching my girls in person at her home studio to teaching online for COVID-19. Overall, if you're looking for a skilled and compassionate educator who fosters meaningful musical progress in her students, you couldn't make a better choice than Tatyana. Highly recommend!
