FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $120 per 50 minute hour for individuals, and $150 per 90 minute hour for couples and/or families. Since I don't take insurance, I offer a limited number of slots at a reduced rate for clients who cannot afford the full rate. These slots are full at this time and space should open up in the new year, so please ask if this would help you get into therapy.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Prospective clients contact me via phone or email, and we have a conversation about their needs for service. We then schedule an initial 50 minute appointment, and I email them my intake materials, to be completed prior to meeting. This gives me the answers I need to begin determining if I'm the correct therapist for the client. At the first appointment, the client has the opportunity to determine if I'm right for them at no charge for the first 30 minutes. If the client and I are both satisfied, we continue for the remaining 20 minutes, and the client pays half of my standard rate. If either the client or I determine we are not the right fit in the first 30 minutes, the client pays nothing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology with a specialization in Counseling from the Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS). I have additional training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Lifespan Integration and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I have also completed my training as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
