I am more than happy to write this testimonial in relation to the website design and development company Swift Whale Creative and its Studio Director, Anne Weeks. I am happy to do so for two reasons; firstly: I now have a website which makes my writing stand out in the crowd of cyberspace sites. I am a writer and author, poet and publisher, researcher and scholar in the evening of my life. My website is the venue for marketing my work and in the three months my site has been on the world-wide-web(21/3/'11 to 21/6/'11) it has shone brightly in the pantheon of my competitors. I don't expect to be famous or rich, but I want to and expect to be read and this expectation has been more than satisfied in just these three months of the presence of my site on the net. Secondly, I was involved in negotiating the style and content, the strategy and the many fine details of what is and was my complex and extensive site with Anne Weeks, the Studio Director, from the preliminary phase of my site's construction in September 2010 until after my site went live in March 2011. My site has some 72 categories and sub-categories of my writing and content and several million words. It's a relatively big slice of cyberspace given the infinity of space in that parallel universe. Anne possessed many qualities that made this 8 month process of getting my site on the interent the relatively easy road that it was. I write and have written 1000s of emails in the last ten years of my life on the internet and I know how easy it is to say the wrong thing and upset the sensitivities of my readers, friends and associations, without even trying--indeed, in the process trying to put one's best foot foreward, so to speak. Anne was consistently: patient, diplomatic, understanding of my needs and desires, prompt to reply to my myriad requests for information and ideas, a provider of explanations which were simple to follow, a skilled co-ordinator and facilitator between myself and Daniel Sullivan and the rest of the Swift Whale Creative team. I have no trouble in recommending Anne and Swift Whale Creative to others who want to design and build a framework for their websites using the user friendly CMS system. Indeed, I would be more than happy to provide even more of a testimonial over the phone(03-63824790), by email(ronprice@gmail.com), or snailmail(6 Reece Street, George Town, Tasmania, Australia, 7253) since my writing is out there in the world getting 1000s, indeed, hundreds of thousands of readers thanks to the work of Swift Whale Creative and the team, Anne Weeks, Daniel Sullivan and, of course, myself---since I have become even more of an internet entrepreneur as well. Yours sincerely Ron Price George Town Tasmania

Good value and great design, it doesn't get any better than that! We required a full rebrand including a new logo plus website with custom photo gallery and found their advice and patience throughout the project fantastic. Dan was able to guide us throughout the whole process, offer advice and show us several options so we felt comfortable with our final design. It really felt like we were in a partnership to develop our new website and image and that they were as vested as we were. We wanted contemporary design with a little edge and found Swift Whale Creative delivered exactly that plus offered original ideas contributing to the project. Prior to launch we expressed our concerns regarding the loss of search engine rankings but they anticipated the issue and ensured our content contained all the necessary keywords and code was completely validated. The Swift Whale Creative team continues to handle all our online marketing and ad creation and I consistently receive fantastic results

As a marketing/public relations professional with over a decade's worth of experience, when it came time to launch my own business I thought I had it all covered. Clever business name, check. Business plan, check. Ideas for color palette, check check check. Since I'm not a graphic designer, I was well aware that I needed help bringing it all to life. In short, I will tell you that Daniel Sullivan, the Creative Genius behind Swift Whale Creative, not only exceeded my expectations, but brought my brand to life in a way I never realized possible. Just when I thought I had reached a point in my career where I had been there, seen it, done that, Daniel completely blew me away! Studio Director Anne was not only an excellent project manager, but also a fantastic facilitator in making it all happen. Although my identity package has been created and my website has gone live, the care that they took in developing these items for me hasn't stopped. I continue to receive advice in creating website copy and managing my website in a manner that will help me make the most of this valuable tool-- priceless information. This business is my baby; not only do I love the results, but the identity created to represent my brand does so exceptionally. My new website is an excellent vehicle for both my brand and my products. Really, honestly, I couldn't be happier! I truly feel that Swift Whale Creative has been just as invested in this process as I have. The results speak for themselves, and I receive positive feedback and compliments everywhere I go. Needless to say, I wholeheartedly endorse Swift Whale Creative, and would encourage anyone in need of new/revamped identity and/or website to use this talented, capable and caring organization.

Working with Dan from Swift Whale Creative was a great experience and such a contrast to our previous web designer. For Dan nothing was a problem, no idea to wild and no timeline too short, he completely redesigned our website which was problematic and built on multiple platforms, he streamlined it into one intuitive site chockfull of information and imagery that resonates with our current customers and shows potential customers what we are all about. He also helped us to set up email campaigns as well as creating custom artwork to use in store as well as on social media, which strengthened our brand through a eye catching and cohesive look across all public spaces. We continue to work with Dan on a regular basis to keep growing our brand and making updates to our website which will help to move us forward toward our goals. Highly recommended!

Swift Whale Creative designed and built our company website from creation to completion, it looks smart and is easy to use. They also created and designed our company logo, We found their friendly no fuss attitude very accomodating. We changed our minds on a few aspects and it was no problem for their team. Its great to find a web design business that will go the extra mile for their clients. We will continue our relationship with them in the future.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Qualify before you buy! In order to protect yourself, request a proposal outlining the deliverables, terms and conditions and payment terms for your project. Most providers will request a deposit or payment milestones as the project progresses but be wary if you’re asked to pay in advance. Our industry is filled with incredibly talented designers freelancing. It’s incredible because it allows the buyer access to thousands of designers and web developers at significantly competitive rates. The downside is not all freelancers share the same work ethic and when a problem arises, some disappear off the face of the earth. This can be detrimental if you’re in the middle of a website build. We’ve had a multitude of clients approach us completely desperate because their website is only half finished and the developer no longer answers the phone. Reviewing the designer or developer’s portfolio of recent work to check for well functioning websites will be your best assurance you will receive high quality work.
