We took a few lessons from Charla in preparation for the first dance at our wedding. Neither of us are dancers, but she made us feel at ease and came up with a sequence of basic steps that looked good without feeling overly choreographed. She’s so great to work with, now that our wedding has passed we might take some more lessons just for fun!

My fiancé and I just finished 3 dance lessons with Charla within a week, right before our wedding. We had so much fun learning from Charla. We took our first couples' dance lesson with Charla. She is fantastic! We are experienced ballroom dancers and have had years of private instruction. We recently moved from the SF/Bay Area to Seattle so need to find a new instructor. So glad we found Charla on Thumbtack. As many of the reviews say, Charla is patient, a great dancer and educator. Felt comfortable with her during our first lesson. Will be working with her regularly, which is the highest form of recommendation I can make!

I am a certified ballroom instructor. a dance and drama major at Scripps college, and the university of Washington
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have danced since I was 4 years old. I took ballet, gymnastics, piano, acting, and ballroom. I loved them all, and wish to share the joy they have brought me with others.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I get lots of calls for very young dancers to take ballet, or creative movement. Lots of couples are interested in ballroom wedding dances.
