Introduction: We are a creative and innovative design and build company who brings imagination and practical solutions to every project we take on. We love working with others to bring amazing environments to life from the ground up. We have designed and built for businesses, restaurants, homes, and events all around the Southern California, Seattle and Mexico. With disciplines in Experiential Design, Lighting, Painting, Illustration, and Fabrication we create spaces that suit the needs of our clients as well as blurring the lines between function and art. Selander Design has worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from Theatrical Scenic, Film, and Restaurant Design to Art Installations, and Children’s Play Spaces. Based in Seattle, we capitalize on our eccentric style and innovative ideas to make “Rad Stuff” in homes, businesses, and public spaces all over the world. We are proficient in all areas of design and construction whether it be for live events, film or movies, or businesses and residences. We take ideas and concepts, illustrate them, and bring them from paper to real, live 3 dimensional spaces. At Selander Design we work with hand drawn concept art, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Vectorworks or AutoCAD for most projects. From there we create a solid environment and devise the proper and most practical mechanical drawings and build plans for any project. We have exceptional skills in spacial layout, color palette selection, furniture selection, and custom building. Any project we work on is safe, practical, and conveys the ideas of our clients in exciting and imaginative ways. While design is our strong suit, we are also a very competent, and experienced builders. While licensed, insured and bonded as a General Contractor, we have extensive experience in woodworking, painting, and fabrication. At any given time we have been responsible for coordinating, staffing, scheduling, or budgeting builds for large and small projects. When it comes to running a large design/build project Selander Design is well rounded and knowledgable.
