Gina is a phenomenal yoga instructor. I really appreciate her focus on doing postures right, being mindful of the body, not just going through the motions just for the sake of aerobics. I've done yoga for a few years; I was familiar with most poses I needed, but it felt like I haven't made any progress for a while. Gina gave me exactly what I needed: lots of small adjustments in postures that I wasn't doing quite right, but was not aware of. Feels like I made enormous progress. I also love Gina's ability to seamlessly adjust the course of the practice to address her students' problem areas. She has a deep understanding of the body, and also the spiritual aspects of yoga. Her classes are always a highlight of my day.

Gina has been helping me w/my alignment as I navigate a new yoga practice. I am 60 w/some sports injuries to work through. She is punctual and mindful of our time together as well as flexible if we need to change things. She also provides a written summary of our work together (to help me as I practice w/out her!) while supplementing these summaries w/relevant support information. Gina is gifted in her abilities to communicate and provide specific guidance towards optimum form (for me!). I have seen dramatic improvement and am gaining more confidence in deepening my practice. She has a deep knowledge of yoga, enduring patience and a steadfast commitment to teaching. It is her "right livelihood" and I am so incredibly lucky to have her in my life! I consider her my teacher and will continue to work w/her as I progress in this amazing journey of mind, body, and spirit integration.

I've been taking yoga instruction from Gina both in a class setting & one on one for almost 6yrs now. As a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner, I know for a fact the knowledge I've gained from her has helped me immensely not only in my practice but also throughout my regular life. I consistently do the poses she recommends for me at home in between the times I can work with her. Her teaching method is very concise without being pretentious. I've recommended Gina to friends, family & colleagues without reservation for years & am happy to do so now. If you're new to your practice or have years of experience, you will benefit from her, guaranteed!

Gina is one of the best yoga teachers I have ever had. She has helped me truly understand how to honor my body and take my practice to the next level. She has a solid yoga education and a wonderful presence. She is inspiring, fun and uplifting. She is fantastic with providing options for all levels and pays attention to detail. She makes appropriate adjustments and really knows how to break down poses so that students can fully understand them. Gina is the best, If you are looking to expand your yoga knowledge and strengthen your practice, she is your girl.. :)

One of the best that I have met at her craft. She worked very closely with me and Al l of my injuries. It was a pleasure learning from Gina.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Absolutely! I am a seeker, always endeavoring to learn more and get excited when I meet a new student because I get to delve into aspects of the practice that are specifically relevant to their unique needs and goals.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

When I started practicing I fell in love with yoga and the profound difference it was making in my life. I knew I needed to share this with others. At the time I was working a corporate job and became increasingly disenchanted. That is when I realized that my passion is to make a real, healthy difference in people's lives, rather than making a difference to a corporation's bottom line. I took a leave of absence to attend teacher training and then returned to the office, and started teaching nights and weekends. After a few years of 'moonlighting' as a a teacher, I made the leap to full time teacher and have never looked back!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Your connection with your teacher is important. Practicing in a private setting can feel vulnerable, especially in the beginning, so it's important to feel authentic trust and comfort. The student/teacher relationship has potential to blossom into a beautiful partnership when it's the right fit :-)
