We had a pile of odds and ends junk from around our house and yard. Always hauling called ahead and was on time from what was agreed. They pulled up and loaded everything and were gone in 15 minutes. It was a little more money than originally agreed because we had more junk. They talked about the increase and agreed before starting the job. Very satisfied with the service.

He started the job earlier than planned and was very thorough. It wasn't an easy job, as my grass/weeds were over 3-4 feet tall, and my backyard is a pretty decent size, but he did a great job. I have hired him on for continued maintenance every 2 weeks.

Pedro is very professional. He was here the day I posted on Thumbtack to say I needed someone to mow the backyard. He quoted me a price and we agreed upon it. He showed up on the day and time he said he would be here and his work is fantastic. The backyard is beautiful. We look forward to having Pedro here once a week!!

Sheldon helped clear out our backyard and re-sod it. He provided a lot of great insight and suggestions on what could be done and was very responsive and easy to work with. He knows what he's doing and I would hire him again and recommend him!

We just did a complete remodel of our backyard. It was literally torn down to nothing and rebuilt. The job involved removing existing patio, cutting down a tree, clearing all the plants, removing steps, leveling the whole yard, building retaining walls, fence, gates, laying a fairly large patio area with pavers, building a fire pit area with flagstone, drainage, sprinklers and planting. I hired G&E based on the reviews on thumbtack and I couldn't agree more with some of the reviews about their professionalism. They are easily among the best contractors I have worked with. Reliability, Punctuality, Accountability, Flexibility, and Quality are some of the key qualities I was looking for and they fit it perfectly. We are very happy with how our yard turned out and it is better than what we have envisioned. I would definitely hire Polo and team again for any future work. If you are looking to get any landscaping work, don't think twice about G & E.

I hired Lucas Landscaping to install a paver patio for me (with firepit), a fence around the yard, and a playground pit. As well as creating flower beds along the length of my yard and back. It was a large project and Julio and his team transformed our plain backyard into our dream backyard. He was very detailed in his work and was always making sure things were done the way we wanted it. I would definitely hire Julio and his team again for future jobs.

We hired R&R Hardscapes to build retaining walls and install a fire pit in our backyard. We also had pavers put down in the driveway. We are very happy with the work and will hire R&R Hardscapes again for future projects.

We hired Mike and "Santa" to excavate and grade a small area in front of our home to create a graveled parking area. They did a fantastic 5 star (plus) job and even went above & beyond (i.e. taking a wheelbarrow of dirt to our backyard for flower bed, cut and placed railroad ties we had to frame the parking area). The quality of work was superb. They were professional and friendly and always on time. Considering we are 3 sisters on limited incomes, we were very pleased with the final cost (not a penny more than the estimate) and will definitely be utilizing their services for future projects. High five, kudos and hugs to Mike and "Santa"! 👋🏼 👍🏼🤗😀

Don and his crew redid our whole front and backyard, and in less time than they even estimated. Cleared old weedy, dead grass and laid new sod; weeded overrun planting areas; removed overgrown shrubbery and replaced with neat and tidy new ones; weeded graveled areas and laid down new gravel. Pricing was completely fair and the results are well worth the investment. One of the best elements of working with Don is that he answers questions, responds promptly, and is just an overall good guy to work with (his crew is polite and courteous too) - not high-pressure, wants to be sure you're comfortable with the plan and pricing. I've already passed along his info to my parents for work they were thinking of having done and will continue to work with Don for future needs. Neighbors have not only noticed their great work, but complimented it too.

Connecting with Oliana Gardening was superbly serendipitous. As an interior designer and landlord, my gardens need to be both aesthetic and highly functional, and preferably mostly native. I needed a landscaping establishment that was reliable, trustworthy, knowledgeable about natives, the right price, able to do both maintenance and renovations, and, this was a biggie, artistically trained. Oliana Gardening is meeting all these needs beautifully. Reliable and trustworthy means appointments are kept, communication is good, work gets finished, and my property gets cleaned and locked up as it should be. Being able to trust Oliana Gardening as I do makes my life so much easier. Jumanji really knows her native plants, and helped me figured out a scheme for a sunny front garden that I was failing miserably with on my own. I’d spoken to other people about natives before, but they either couldn’t imagine an entirely native garden, or were so natives-oriented they seemed to sniff at my aesthetic needs. Jumanji supports my dual and sometimes conflicting requirements. For example, while it’s stressful on sword ferns to completely cut their old fronds, we’re compromising with selective trimming. The fact that Jumanji does both installations and maintenance is especially helpful because every act of maintenance from pruning to carefully placing excess leaves in the right spot all leads toward the overall garden vision. She’s not going to damage anything from ignorance or mess up what is working well like my clean gravel drive by getting dirt all over it as one “gardener” did. More, Jumanji keeps teaching me new things about gardening (like the nuances of pruning redtwig dogwood and serviceberry), which makes the process fun. To me, Jumanji’s greatest asset, is that is also an artist. Many companies have great plant knowledge or construction abilities, but their gardens often lack unity or artistry. I absolutely love collaborating with Oliana Gardening as one creative with another. Jumanji understands the creative process, creative angst, and “can we move it again?” Jumanji also has other equally talented colleagues, so when I wanted a border between my plants and gravel, she brought in an artist friend who can weld. Together they created a beautiful steel border and craftily installed it among carefully placed rocks to make everything look level and balanced (when the ground wasn't). Almost last, Oliana Gardening understands my garden ambitions aren’t backed by a big budget so existing plants, rocks, leaves etc. have been used to their utmost. To offset costs, we’ll figure out things I can do myself, we’ll work together for a bit (such as when she wrapped my tree with lights and installed some new rocks), or spread work out over several months. My garden has really come together since working with Oliana Gardening, and I look forward to working with Jumanji’s company long into the future.

Kevin is a highly professional, and more importantly, trustworthy. We had bids on other companies and know many horror stories from friends and neighbors about selecting the wrong ones. Kevin was always professional, patient and courteous. He showed a high level of responsiveness and respect. We love his work and attention to details. We would definitely use this company again and would recommend him to all without reservation.‎

Brian was just fantastic! We took 6 bids for our new deck project and we are absolutely thrilled we decided to hire them. We were confident in their ability from the first few minutes. Brian and Mike had great design suggestions, we really appreciated their input and the education. They worked with great skill, swiftly, within our budget and most importantly built a beautiful deck! Do not hesitate to hire these guys- you will not be disappointed!!

I got 2 bids to level my backyard and build a retaining wall. Rodrigo's bid was about the same as the other guy's. I picked Rodrigo because his company could also build a fence that we needed, and he could start the project about a month earlier. The retaining wall and fence are very high quality. The yard is mostly level; we had discussed leveling another part of it, but it wasn't included in the contract so it's my fault that it wasn't done. Rodrigo's crew noticed that my downspouts were running off just a couple feet from my foundation. They offered to scope up the project by adding a drainage pipe out to the street. Our home inspector had made the same suggestion when we bought the house, so we accepted the additional work for what seemed like a fair price. It's obvious that Rodrigo cares about the quality of his work. He gets excited when showing samples from his portfolio. My only suggestion is to flesh out as many details as possible early on. I still have some flattening to do, for example, because I had taken for granted that work was included. Additionally we had talked about salvaging some plants, but I came home one day to discover they were eradicated/relocated. For a broad project that was completed in a short time period, I'm not too disappointed by the surprises.

I am blown away by the work MC Landscape did in our backyard. They came out to look at all of the projects we want to have done and sent a detailed quote that was broken into sections. I started with raised beds in our backyard and couldn’t be happier! I did not expect such beautiful craftsmanship. The entire experience couldn’t have been better, from the excellent customer service and advice to the expert installation. I look forward to tackling our other projects with them soon. I highly recommend this company!
