What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working with animals for 20 years. 14 of those years have been as a Pet Groomer. I have worked on both dogs and cats.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always wanted to work with animals. As a child I wanted to grow up to be Dr. DoLittle. I applied for a job in the grooming department of Petsmart back in 2002 and have been working with animals ever since. I have worked in both the corporate and private sectors of grooming.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Your pets are your family so never hesitate to ask questions, no matter how silly or gross you think it may be. An experienced groomer has heard them all and any groomer that truly loves her work will be more than happy to put you at ease by answering any and all questions.
