- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We take the required American Heart Association instructor training every two years to make sure we are providing the appropriate CPR AED and First Aid training.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Teaching CPR/AED/First Aid to those in the medical field so they can work in assisted living or adult family homes and continue to be in good standing. Teaching BLS HealthCare Provider to RNs LPNS and those in the Dental field. Teaching CPR/AED/First Aid to landscaping businesses and construction businesses.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for an instructor who offers a class without a high cost; learning CPR and First aid doesn't need to be extremely expensive. Make sure your instructor is certified and can get your card to you immediately. Also look for someone who is flexible and can work with your hours. We all have busy lifestyles. Make sure the business is following the policies of American Heart Association. The policy of buying the book was started in 2013. It states "Instructors that fail to comply with the policy are not in compliance with the requirements for issuing course completion cards for courses where this requirement is not met. Instructors utilizing the library exception must have a written policy, available to the AHA during site review that provides direction on how the library will be implemented and monitored..."
