- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I love to watch Creative Live tutorials. You can watch for free live webcast classes and learn on from top notch professionals in the field. If you miss anything during the life feed or really enjoyed the class you can also purchase the videos.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I just always had a camera in my hand and I decided to go to school to fine tune my skills and learn the technical side. I also spent several years as an intern with a fantastic local photographer who taught me so much about posing and angles, light and composition. I believe every time I have a session I use a tool he instilled in me. I remember I took a class in high school and one assignment was a basic portrait. I remember my subject/classmate was a senior that year and the photo I took of him looked better than his expensive senior portraits not just to me but also him and fellow classmates noted so. In that moment I remember feeling validation in a small way like this might be it for me. And is has proven to be true. I was just 17
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I do a lot of maternity and newborn photos as well as family portraits. Second to that is my wedding photography which I love!!! There is never a dull moment in my job and I love the challenge each session or wedding sets forth. Every client and family is different and its so wonderful to have something new and different to work with every time. I especially love when clients bring their ideas to the table and put themselves into the moment I am there to capture. To me I am there to capture who my client truly is not how I want them to look or pretend to be. I'm about making you stand out and shine.
