Introduction: Helping people to improve their overall quality of life, whatever that means to each individual, has become my passion. This is what inspired me to go back to school and I am currently getting my master's in occupational therapy at EWU. In my spare time I enjoy many types of dancing, hiking, stand-up paddling, skiing, traveling and yoga. No matter what your fitness goal is, I am excited to help you achieve it!
I have over 9 years of experience as a personal trainer and I have done 3 certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine including CPT (certified personal trainer), PES (performance enhancement specialist) and CES (corrective exercise specialist). I also have my B.S. in exercise science.
Health and fitness have always been very important to me. Becoming a trainer seemed like a perfect fit for me, and I have loved working with people of all ages, shapes, sizes and abilities to help them achieve their fitness goals. I enjoy training all types of clients with goals including weight loss, strength, flexibility, injury rehabilitation, pre-post natal, sport specific or just overall health. I have more recently had extensive experience training those in need of assistance correcting postural issues, muscle imbalances and rehabilitation for injuries or post-surgery rehabilitation, and other special populations.
My favorite part of what I do is the moment a client realizes their potential and to see them become empowered. It is truly inspiring to see. I have also become good friends with many former clients and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to train so many amazing people throughout my career. I take my job very seriously and I understand the trust my clients put in me. That said, I like to make it fun as well. I am a motivator and an encourager, not a drill sargent. When my clients accomplish something they never thought they could do on their own, that is what drives me to be the best trainer I can be.
