Introduction: My method of teaching is more hands on and fun. You learn your instrument by actually playing it instead of just practicing by yourself or in front of me. For instance, I use drums to teach guitar and bass and guitar or bass to teach drums. Basically, I teach you the notes, chords or beats and then play them with you so you are using and applying what you are learning musically, instead of just repeating and practicing in the same boring way most teachers require. Watching people "get it". The satisfaction from teaching is inexplainable. Giving and teaching someone music is something that is with them a lifte time and is an amazing outlet

Justin Tamminga isn't your ordinary has-been musician trying to make a few extra dollars by reading out of a 'How to Play Guitar' manual to your kids. When I walked in to his home studio for the first time with my $20 First-Act acoustic, I didn't expect to be playing an electric guitar to live drums and a bass loop 30 minutes later. Justin isn't making you memorize every scale on a guitar, he's gearing you up to play with a band! After my first lesson, I went home and listened to the songs Justin recorded and sent to me and played my three chords over and over until my fingers were completely numb. I've been taking lessons for over a year now and he still has something new for me to learn every week. If you want exciting lessons that have you counting down the days until the next one, Justin is your go-to guy.

I received beginner guitar lessons from Justin. It was great! He taught me the basics and some great tricks to help me remember what I was learning each week. I felt like I improved really quickly with his instructions. I was impressed with how patient he was while he listened to me fumble through the chords!

Dude has the patience of a saint. Justin is technically a talented musician. He also has a teaching skill-set that many artists do not. I have been taking guitar lessons from Justin for over a year, and literally have no complaint. He's a great guy, he is reasonable and flexible in scheduling, and has lots of experience and proper equipment to teach guitar, bass and drums.

Justin is a fantastic guitar teacher. He brings a unique style of teaching which helped me to start playing in no time. With his teaching style, I not only learned to play well on my own but I also learned how to play with others which has made me well-rounded. I have very much enjoyed learning from Justin. He is an extremely talented musician and I cannot say enough good things about him.
