- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to learn about the client and their personal style before we start. I do a basic consultation via email or phone, and a very thorough consultation when we meet. I am a very visual person, and love to see pictures of their vision, so I can give the client exactly what they want.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the Douglas J Aveda Institute of Chicago 2007, and did a year long internship under the lead color specialist in an upscale Aveda salon. I then took a series of courses with today's leading stylists focusing on upstyling, braids, and makeup contouring. I am a certified extension specialist, and am able to create custom extensions, hairpieces and accessories. I am also trained in needle and thread updos. In my field, I find it extremely important to keep up with current trends, and take many classes a year, focusing on special occasion styling, color and cuts.
