FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not offer packages or discounts. Instead, I offer a consistent, very affordable service. I have a base fee of $150 that increases with travel time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The couples who contact me want a simple, affordable ceremony that also feels personal. They could choose to go to a Justice of the Peace, but they want to bump it up a notch. I have a few questions that I ask of every couple. They respond via email. Sometimes we talk by phone. Because of the particular questions I ask, by the time I meet them - usually at their ceremony! - I feel like I know them. Sometimes couples send me a photo, which I love. I make the process easy and fun.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always attending a workshop of one kind or another. I also do a lot of personal study on ceremony creation. I was a chaplain for over a decade, so I have worked with people of all faiths and traditions, as well as people who define themselves as "not religious." I have a Master's Degree in Sociology, which is good training ground for understanding people and their needs. I also pay close attention!
