I would describe Doug as a perfectionist. He provided a detailed bid. The job he did was flawless. He was punctual in getting to our job and in completing it. He took great care in keeping our home clean (he washes his drop clothes after each job even). I plan to hire Doug again. I hope he's not too busy to take it because he is that good.

Doug finds issues & communicates them immediately. He shows up with the right tools & is very efficient. I also like his automated invoicing system, which makes change orders very visible.

Saiken Properties could not have been could not have been better. They encountered a very substantial amount of dry rot that had not yet been identified when a rather routine repair was to have been done. They quickly stepped up, added resources, managed to clear space in their schedule to make this substantial new repair appear as though it was routine work They were professional; responsive; excellent final result; made a real problem appear as easy and non-stressful as could possibly be imagined. Further, even though they had to make substantial adjustments to perform this work the final billing was in my opinion very reasonable. Mitch Bower

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I usually quote labor and materials together, but am always willing to negotiate the best price possible for the customer. In most cases I will meet or beat any written quote.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've been doing home repairs since I was able to hold a hammer as my father owned multiple rentals throughout the Portland metro area from the 1970's through the early 2000's. I love learning new construction methods and techniques which I can implement into my customer's homes.
