Introduction: I am a mature, responsible, retired professional who loves animals and have always had cats and dogs as part of my family. Over the past five years, I have acquired a group of loyal clients who use my services whenever they go out of town. I consider their pets an extension of my family. I hope you enjoy the attached photos of some of these sweet beauties!
I look forward to meeting your kitty (or kitties) and taking care of them as if they are my own while you are gone.
I will love them, play with them, hang out with them, feed them, give them any needed medicine, and clean the litter box. You will receive a "kitty report" when you return home documenting how your pet did while you were gone. I will also text you pictures and updates on your pet while you are away so you can be assured of their well-being.
I understand and appreciate feline behavior and have respect and patience for all types of personalities.
I will water your plants and take in your mail/newspaper if needed. I will also perform a security check of your residence during each visit. As you can tell by the symbol in my profile, I have passed the background/security check.

Sue has provided loving care for several generations of my kitties. I am a finicky cat mom with a complicated raw food feeding routine. Sue is professional and picked up the feeding protocol in a snap. Currently I have a young kitten who needs lots of play time and two older boys who want love and reassurance when I am gone. One of them tends to get sick when I am away so it can make for some anxious trips. Sue is awesome with all three kitties and always lets me know how they are doing while I am away. She waters my plants and manages the kitty routine with kindness and care. I know because the kitties are happy and calm when I come home and I always have the "kitty report." Sue has my highest recommendation.

I live in NE Portland and recently had to leave town with little notice and a friend told me about Thumbtack so I thought I'd give it a try to find someone to care for my two cats for the week. I'm so glad I did and found Mama Sue! She responded almost immediately and was readily available to meet and go over my cat-sitting guidelines and meet Sara and Sally. They both warmed to her in no time at all, which was so comforting!! Sue was a total professional every step of the way. I will definitely use her again and highly recommend her and her high level of customized service - the texts and report are great! With Mama Sue, I got lots of bang for my buck, her prices are very reasonable. But what was best is the peace of mind I had knowing Sue was caring for my girls with love!! Thanks Mama Sue!

Mama Sue has benign taking care of my cat Simor for about 3 years now. I travel a lot for work and need someone caring and reliable. My cat has special dietary needs and eats twice a day. I know I can count on Mama Sue.

Sue was just wonderful with my Bootsie. Bootsie is a bit shy and usually takes awhile to adjust to new people but she liked Sue right away. It was very comforting to get text messages and pics of my kitty while away as well.
I also appreciated the kitty report so I know how she was reacting to me being gone. This was my first time away from her for more than a few of days so I was worried how she may react, but Sue was wonderful with her and Bootsie did great. I would recommend Mama Sue's Cat Sitting to anyone needing a reliable, trustworthy caring person to care for their precious kitties while they are away. Thank you so much!

I live in Vancouver Washington and I frequently travel for business sometimes to Australia and Sri Lanka and am gone for several weeks at a time. A few years ago professional colleagues recommended Sues services. They had two cats and a kitten and Sue had been cat sitting for them on a regular basis. When I first contacted Sue she was booked up but when my next trip came up she was available. From then on I have been an ongoing client. I find her to be an extremely reliable, compassionate caregiver for my two cats. It makes my traveling so much easier knowing that I can trust her to take good care of my babies.
