We used Thumbtack.com to find fence contractors in our area. After going through about eight responses from Thumbtack we narrowed it down to three. After reviewing each of their website reviews and pictures. We then had each contractor come out on different days and give us a free written bid. We wanted a one sided top rail cedar fence 154ft plus two gates. After meeting all contractors and receiving their bids it came down to two contractors that were really close $$$. We choose A&C Innovative Contractors, John Chambers company for our fence job. We just got the best vibs from him and he accepted our input with-out exception. They started on the promised start date and finished in the five work days John had indicated on the contract. They hauled all the discarded materials, old fence, tree branches and shrubs away and left the backyard very clean. We are very happy with our newly installed fence and gates and John and his crews work ethics. Thank You John, Brian, RJ and Ben. Bob & Elise Firth Tualatin

Osvaldo was personable, prompt, efficient and really knowledgeable about everything including the kitchen sink! He took care of lots of details I needed done for showing my house, from light fixtures to caulking to installing a faucet. He was creative and flexible and basically saved the day. I really enjoyed working with him and recommend him very highly!

Daniel did a great job installing my IKEA cabinets in my storage/laundry room, working with the dimensions I had. He cleaned up after the work (although I have to get rid of all the boxes), and was very pleasant to have in my home. I will definitely hire him for more work: doorways, window and hopefully kitchen down the line!

Westcoast Windows & Doors are absolutely superb. They came quickly, measured accurately on site and were most careful to replace and caulk the outer wood trim over the double-pane window panel they replaced. I would unconditionally recommend them to anyone. It made me particularly happy to find and use such skilled, responsive small business contractors working at very competitive rates. I look forward to having them return when the need arises.

Logan gave me a thorough estimate and walk through on the work I wanted done-- wood casing added to exterior windows. He was generous with his time, very knowledgeable, and trustworthy. His estimate was "worst case," so he came in under budget. I would absolutely recommend working with Logan!

These guys did an absolutely terrible job on the drywall. Overspray everywhere, wavy seems, terrible texture and horrendous patch work. And to top that off he has refused to fix any of it. If you are considering using these guys, do yourself a favor and walk away.

Donnie was great with sheetrock and painting, lot of knowledge and expertise shows through the results. More clarity communications and timelines would have made this 5 star.

Did a big job on our house. Windows, siding, paint, fence, and moved a window in place of a French door and also added a window in the master bath. Also has some dryrot repair that needed to be fixed but we assumed that during the walk through. Had a few hiccups during the project which added a couple weeks to the deadline we agreed upon but still came out to our satisfaction. The only problem that I have is the team is a little disorganized but still did their job. He added some stuff along the way at no cost which was nice because with the size of our house and the amount of windows it was not cheap but not as expensive as the other bids we received. All in all we were completely satisfied with the craftsmanship and perfection that we received.

I had a MDF kitchen sink door that needed replacing which had to exactly (or nearly so) match the OTHER ONE from the size to the stain itself. In order to reduce the price a bit I had to find the proper handles at a nearby hardware store, ones that would match the other kitchen cabinet handles in the entirety of the room (I ended up choosing ones that closely enough matched the others) and I had my new cabinet door just a week's time. At first I was unable to tell the difference between the two doors (the one he had to match and the one Ed made from scratch) and a carpenter who is building a house next to me was also unable to tell the difference. While I had no prior experience in having this type of project done I was a little surprised at the price of $300, but subsequent research found that this price was/is in the mid-range for this kind of project. I would highly recommend Ed to anyone who needs a smaller project done. Most if not all of the larger cabinet companies either were not interested or said I would have to wait at least a month for completion.

I have rental homes and did not have time to clean and fix one of them for the next renter. Total Residential did a great job of cleaning a very dirty house and fixing plumbing, sheetrock and other minor repairs. They were also able to steam clean the carpet. I am glad I found Total Residential. Now I have someone who can clean and is a licensed contractor to do repairs and more. I will definitely be using them in the future, not just at my rentals but at my personal home as well. Chris R. Battle Ground

Clint did phase 1 of my house remodel which included all new windows, new siding, kitchen flooring, metal deck rail, replacing exhaust fans and more. He kept me informed of the how and why for each step and was great with answering any questions about design ideas, what works, what doesn't! I have two contractors in my neighborhood who have stopped by to tell me how impressed they are with Clint's work and that by watching him work, they could tell he cared about getting the job done right. And he did!! I can't wait to do phases 2, 3 and 4!!!

I've worked in tandem with Greg on several design projects over the past five years and can speak with confidence that our time together has always been well spent and has always resulted in beautiful finished work, all well within budget, and each piece very much to our mutual clients' satisfaction. Two memorable jobs: Custom-crafted soft, upholstered pelmets for installation above living room, dining room, and kitchen windows - Greg and I worked with a local upholsterer to create modern and chic window coverings which added a special crowning touch to a few rooms in a North Portland home. The experience could have been harrowing, given how many hands were in the pie, but instead it was a real delight...with all parties working together to define style, dimension, craftsmanship and quality. Greg stayed right on top of second and third measurements, ensuring that everyone stayed on the same page. This was essential for a fine custom fit. These pelmets have stood the test of time, in terms of style and physical wear. Very happy with end product! Custom-built Dining Table - Greg and I worked together with our client to define a style that she loved and would want around for a long time. She'd seen a particular style of table that she just couldn't quite afford...and she'd never seen the table in exactly the kind of color scheme she wanted (sort of earthy jewel tones). We worked together to define style and also color combination, created the perfect size and height of table for her smallish eating space, and then Greg went to town working and re-working the legs and other joining parts until it met our clients' expectations to the nth degree. When we saw the finished piece we couldn't help but feel a huge sense of pride...it was really beautiful, fit the bill as per style and color scheme, and we all knew it came out an heirloom piece!

I was extremely satisfied with the customer service and the work I had done by Crystal Clear. Mike explained everything he would do to fix my roof leak and gave me options. I am happy that I have a nice new roof. Their rates are fair, they work hard and are on time. They worked around my schedule. I highly recommend Crystal Clear.

I can't say enough good things about working with Finish First. Most importantly, the quality of the workmanship was outstanding. Next, Michael and Dewayne are both professional, responsive, and prompt. They had never worked on a home insurance claim before but were dedicated to learning and making it work. My home needed several repairs after being damaged by a fallen tree in a windstorm. Finish First managed repairing the interior of my top floor, replacing my entire roof and skylights, rebuilt my chicken coop, and refinishing my landscaped path. Not only did they do a great job, they are humble and respectful. I would definitely hire them again for another construction or remodel project.

Brian Lyne built a small summer cottage for me years ago, and he did all of the work himself - digging and pouring footings, framing and closing, installing insulation/cupboards/sink/toilet/shower/windows, roofing, siding, and staining/painting. I have since sold the property, but I know the current owners are happy that he had the forethought to pour extra footings for eventual expansion. They have expanded the cottage according to his original plans, and enjoy the house throughout the year. Brian is an honest, thoughtful, skilled, hard worker. I highly recommend him.

John is great! He is willing to work with our budget and completed the work as he promised! He pretty much remodeled the bathroom for us by installed shower tiles, shower pan, shower head/vault, vanities, toilet, floor tile, a windor and a barn door. He is paitent and professional. He always found a way to overcome the challenges during this project and he answered all the questions I had during the process. He also think outside of the box. The original bathroom door touched the toilet everytime when open...we were suggested to flip the door to open by the other side but it would blcok the light switch when the door is open. And when all other contractors said that is impossible to put a barn door in our little 7×10 bathroom...John made it happen!!! On top of that now we have a window in our bathroom so the natural light can come in and brighten the space. We are so very pleased with our bathroom and all thanks to John! Here are some pictures!

David Yoo remodeled my kitchen and bathroom for me and finished my basement for rentals. I asked for granite counters and new cabinets installed in the kitchen and it turned out amazing! For my bathroom he took out my old fiberglass shower and I had him install a new stand up shower completely tiled along with a new vanity and built-in's. The basement got a full remodel including an egress window, beams and bathroom and kitchen. Everything turned out beautiful and he is very professional and knows what he is doing. I would recommend him to anyone looking to remodel their place or their rental units.

UCC remodeled our house in Powell Butte. The work involved two large additions. The first was adding a new master bedroom over an entry porch. The second was adding a totally new kitchen, laundry room and a guest bedroom, office and a bathroom. This later addition was three stories high. The new kitchen was exceptional quality and workmanship. The custom granite counter top layout and the floor tile laid out in a Versailles pattern were the highlights. The workmanship on installing numerous large 8' picture windows was exceptional. The construction utilized manufactured I-beams and glulams throughout. What stood out was the attention to detail in all areas. As a result, there very few write-ups by Crook County during the inspection process. I can't think of any negatives to state on this job. Everything was done on budget. Again, great work. I have another project for UCC later this year.

We want to replace the existing two pane window with a triple pane. The existing window seems to be leaking. Although it is on the ground floor, you will need 2 ladders or a scaffold to install it. The window size is 5' x 5' so it is not too big or heavy.
