Natalie Kosovac was my designer for two books I published recently. She set up layouts, chose fonts that were appropriate and considered margins and the center gutter for printing. With pictures I sent her from the internet she designed two outstanding covers. She kept the focus on the content of my books and I cannot be more pleased. Natalie is very experienced and knows what will work and what to improve. I have several more books for her to work on and look forward to the next book.

Natalie has helped us design a hiring brochure and our annual "Report to the Community" about our local fire district now for several years. It is an 8 page booklet, sent to every household on Vashon Island. She makes it look professional, eye-popping and is delightful to work with. We provide her a variety of photos and text and she puts it together and has us proof it a page at a time. We are very happy about her timeliness, quality of work and reasonable price.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most projects are estimated on a case-by-case basis. Generally, a first proof costs a predictable amount. But, corrections are hourly and dependent on the customer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I hire a software guru to give me tips on using InDesign most efficiently for certain projects, such as long books.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I discovered graphic design at the University of California at Berkeley designing exhibits and signs for the Main Library. The projects were fun and rewarding from the get go and continue to be no matter what form they take.
