Spooky Hollow Racing farm is centrally located in the Bluegrass, close to many farms in the Midway area, including Airdrie Stud, Hill N Dale, Vinery and Three Chimneys. We have 70 acres of rolling bluegrass pastures. Spooky Hollow is a full service Thoroughbred horse boarding and care with a resident veterinarian (Clara Fenger, DVM, PhD) who is in attendance at all foalings. We provide excellent routine mare care, and Dr. Fenger has also worked extensively with chronically infertile mares. As an independent veterinarian, unaffiliated with the local huge corporate practices, she is able to tap into all local resources, without being locked into one referral center or another. The benefit to you is the best of all that the Bluegrass Region has to offer.
John Langemeier has a stable of 10 to 15 horses based at The Thoroughbred Center in Lexington, KY. This facility offers a first rate training opportunity with two training tracks, a grass gallop, a swimming pool and turnout paddocks. It is the best of all worlds, allowing horses to gradually adjust from life on the farm and the rigors of race training. The training operation is located in proximity to racetracks in Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia.
