I am a professional guitar teacher located in Naugatuck (New Haven County), Connecticut USA. My name is Ty Smith. I have always believed that the pursuit of any discipline in the arts stimulates the imagination, fine tunes motor skills and is generally good for the soul. Learning a musical instrument can be a wonderfully rewarding experience, regardless of the style of music you pursue.

I have been playing guitar for 42 years, since I was a lad of 10, and I have been teaching for the last 32 years, offering private lessons at a very affordable price. Now, at age 52, I still genuinely love my craft and enjoy interacting with students of all ages* and levels! Lessons are given in the comfort of my home studio.

You will learn to read music notation, guitar notation and tablature. I shall teach you the benefits of music theory, improvisation and good technique. As you progress I will help you with learning to master the songs that you want to play. I teach 6 days a week and I look forward to working with you.

Rates and other Info:

• Lessons in my studio: $22 per 1/2 hour.
• Lessons are payable monthly on the first lesson of the month.
• Student is responsible for attending all lessons.
