FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend annual photography trade shows to keep up on the latest developments in the field, and and subscribe to professional journals to hone my skills. I am also well-versed in Photoshop, so after the fact I can take your photos and do alot of creative things with them that will make you go WOW! I also order materials on the latest trends in posing, lighting, etc... striving to give you the latest & greatest in photography.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been doing photography since high school. I was the Photography Editor for both my school newspaper and the school yearbook. This was back in the days when everything was shot in black and white and we took the film into a darkroom and developed the film and the physical prints by hand. I went on to college and took every photography class available, it has been a love of mine since like forever.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We had a wedding held at a couples' home. They got married outside on a large redwood deck. The ceremony was scheduled for 5pm, and at about 4:30 the skies grew very dark and the wind really picked up speed. I pushed the wedding party to get going to avoid being in the middle of a downpour during their ceremony. They had made a beautiful archway wrapped in tulle, floral & lights which were now blowing sideways! We were able to get the ceremony pulled off including a sand ceremony before it began to rain which was great. Fotunately, the couple had a beautiful sun room filled with plants and due to the rain all the bridal and family photos had to be taken indoors but actually turned out very nice. They had over 100 guests in their home, and their 3 car garage was decorated to the hilt for the dinner. No dance, just a killer dinner! Turned out to be a very beautiful wedding despite some obstacles. You can read the brides review right here on Thumbtack.
